Brother Arven sighs and says "Fine then, but you guys in front just need to take deeper breaths so there is less stench for us in the back." Arven will follow as the group leads.

Brother Arven shudders as the hairs stand up on his neck. He wonders where the ominious feelings come from.

Don't worry - he probably means good things :)

Rounding the corner, Grumm noticed that the crossing ahead of him was actually a pair of alcoves; he stopped before reaching them, the smell of troglodyte strong in his nose. Sure enough, the alcoves were occupied by a pair of troglodytes, who leaped out in an obvious (and failed) attempt to surprise the adventurers.

Everyone is faster than the troglodytes except, oddly, Grumm. Please declare your actions.

With lightning like reflexes, Brother Arven watches the rear passage, holding his torch high so as to provide maximum light. (unless there is room for me to engage the trogs, but I figure the other 3 are between me and them).
