The adventurers strode carefully down the passageway, until they came to an intersection. Though they craned their necks this way and that, they could not see any obvious indication of which way to go...

Sounds good - right it is. If I smell troglodyte, I'll motion for everyone to stop and head back - just to make sure we're all ready.

The adventurers turned right, continuing to move slowly and cautiously. As he passed the intersection and made the turn, Timorel noticed that the odor of troglodyte seemed to be getting weaker.
