Chapter 5: The Rescue
Re: Chapter 5: The Rescue
(OOC: I wonder if Timorel remembers that shybolt always put himself between danger and the MU?)
Re: Chapter 5: The Rescue
Shybolt will slip along the southern wall up to the east corner and look north to see what he can see.

Re: Chapter 5: The Rescue
Looking around the corner, Shybolt and Timorel both saw Harald, bound, gagged, and apparently unconscious in a room at the end of the corridor. The room was dimly lit by a single guttering torch in a sconce on the wall.

Re: Chapter 5: The Rescue
Shybolt puts his sword away and draws his bow with a ready arrow. He inspects the walls, floor and ceiling for anything that will shorten his life expectancy. If all looks well he will move silently up the passage and stop short of the room to listen for enemies or other sounds. If he doesn't hear anything he will move against the east wall and look down the west passage. Then move to the west wall and see as much of the room as possible, looking up at the ceiling and floor as well.

Re: Chapter 5: The Rescue
Suddenly feeling less snarky, Timorel turns his head and quietly tells Grumm and Arven, "Harald, about 50 feet down the hall. No trogs yet." Then he turns back and watches Shybolt.

Re: Chapter 5: The Rescue
Shybolt looked carefully, but saw no traps anywhere nearby.

Re: Chapter 5: The Rescue
Assuming that means he didn't see or hear anything up the other passage Shybolt will wave the others forward and move into the room to check on harold's condition, taking another long look down the west passage.
Re: Chapter 5: The Rescue
Brother Arven, stands watching the rear as his companions check on Harald.

Re: Chapter 5: The Rescue
Shybolt found Harald badly beaten and seemingly unconscious, but as he drew near, the bound man woke up and saw him. Harald began to grunt and wriggle, his eyes pleading with Shybolt.

Re: Chapter 5: The Rescue
Does shybolt get any sense that Harold's actions appear to be a warning of danger or a plea for help? And what did I see down the west passage?
