Re: Chapter 5: The Rescue
The party proceeded down the south corridor, only to discover that it ended at a cave entrance; outside they saw a steep incline down the bluff face to the river. Despite the difficult terrain, Shybolt could see signs that the entrance had been used recently.

Re: Chapter 5: The Rescue
Can Shybolt see if their is a trail down by the river? Is the river rocky/rough or smooth and able to be crossed? Can it be used by boat traffic? If navigable, is their a place where a boat could land? Do I see nay sign of habitation from this viewpoint?
Re: Chapter 5: The Rescue
While Shybolt is gadding about down by the river, Grumm will keep a watch on the dungeon, making sure nothing sneaks up behind them.
Re: Chapter 5: The Rescue
(OOC: Shybolt is making observations from the cave mouth. He isn't gadding about down there.)

Re: Chapter 5: The Rescue
The river is rocky, and only navigable by the smallest boats. On the other side a patchy, swampy forest covers the river bottom. There is no visible trail, and in fact the slope looks rather dangerous.

What about going up? How far to the crest?

Re: Chapter 5: The Rescue
The slope becomes steeper above the cave mouth, and at the top is the town of Redbluff (hence the name). Shybolt doubts they went that way.

Trogs are subterranean creatures - I'm thinking this is a false trail. I think we should go back and explore the other tunnel.

Re: Chapter 5: The Rescue
Timorel looks around the cave mouth and down the incline. (He doesn't go down the incline, he just looks.) Is there any sign at all of how many creatures have used the entrance recently?Solomoriah wrote:... outside they saw a steep incline down the bluff face to the river. Also, looking to either side of the cave, are there any other caves he can see? And what's on the other side of the river?
