Chapter 3: Trying Again
Re: Chapter 3: Trying Again
If the statues haven't attacked and Shybolt is not faint from loss of blood he will try to open the door.

OOC: Cleric, clean-up on aisle 3!
Re: Chapter 3: Trying Again
OOC: ROFL, that was funny! So does Shybolt still continue? I pull out my holy bandaids in preperation for him melting away.jstater wrote:OOC: Cleric, clean-up on aisle 3!
Player: I drink the potion!
DM: Are you sure you want to do that?
Player: Um, no. Maybe, Why, do you think it would be stupid?

Re: Chapter 3: Trying Again
(OOC: Shybolt hasn't taken any damage yet so he isn't concerned. In fact, if I read the last post right all he feels is a bit queasy and doesn't know he is bleeding from his eyes, ears and nose ... it may be another illusion. We'll just have to play on and find out.)

Re: Chapter 3: Trying Again
I'm concerned there may be some confusion here. The door you came in through is bloody; the door between the statues is not. As I understood your orders, you went back to the door you came in through and deliberately bloodied your hand, then turned back to the door between the statues. I held the action at that point to allow the other characters to notify you of your condition... if you wish to go ahead and try to open the door between the statues, please state that so I'll know I have this right.Hywaywolf wrote:If the statues haven't attacked and Shybolt is not faint from loss of blood he will try to open the door.

Re: Chapter 3: Trying Again
Since all I feel is queasy and don't know that my eyes noes and ears are bleeding, I will continue my earlier action to go try the other door. I am thinking about the reaction of the statues when I walk between them and readying myself to attaack back if needed so I barely notice the shocked looked on their faces. Shybolt chalks it up to their being shocke dthat he touched the door. If the statues don't attack then he will try to open the door between the statues.

Re: Chapter 3: Trying Again
Startled by the halfling's sudden bleeding, Timorel calls out, "Shybolt! You're bleeding!"
(This should probably be about the moment Shybolt turns away from the bloody door, before he walks back to the statues.)

Grumm: "Cleric - see if there's anything you can do for Shybolt. In the meantime, the rest of us should keep away from the statues and be prepared to back up Shybolt if he still wants to mess with the other door.
Under his breath - "I sense no profit in this ... wish we'd left it alone."

Quietly, Timorel says, "I'm beginning to think you were right when we entered this area, Grumm. Maybe we should have left it for another time."
Re: Chapter 3: Trying Again
Shybolt continues his actions either because there is blood in his ears or he is concentrating to hard on his action.
