Chapter 3: Trying Again

Shybolt will inspect the first room looking up and left and right then slip into the north passage and carefully move up _o where we left the trogs

(OOC: Solomoriah: I should have marked that OOC. By 'first room,' do you mean the open area at the foot of the stairs?)

OOC: Forgot that I had a shield, can I carry a torch in my shield hand? If not then my mace will have to hang at my belt, torch in my R hand, shield on the L.

You can hold it that way.

Shybolt found the troglodyte bodies unmolested. The smell of them dead was astounding, worse than when they were alive; it hit him like a fist in the gut.

OOC: If it's OK and to save time, Arven sat up last night, sharing a drink with Shybolt before bed, who told him what had transpired on their last time down here. This way I don't have to play dumb and ask alot of questions like "Hey, What is that? Have you tried this? What's in that room? etc...

Holding for some action, perhaps from Shybolt, who is standing there admiring the dead troglodytes.

Grumm: "Good gravy they reek. Let us move on - there is much to explore and the air is foul here."

He'll use his pole arm to shove the bodies to the sides of the corridor as best as possible, in case we need to make a hasty retreat later.

Shyblt gags and says "did you have to Stuart them up?" Hell then move on down the west passage checkbg walls and ceilings And floors until he finds snething international sting

Arven, is appalled by the stench and sight of the dead creatures, but recalls a passage from Feldspar's "Ode to a Hobgoblin Maiden", smiles and chuckles quietly. He continues to attempt to avoid stumbling as he walks sideways/backward down the passage behind the party, looking for any movement coming from behind while trying to avoid getting farther than arms reach from Timorel.

At the corner, Shybolt discovered the door to the trap-room was closed. He seemed to recall leaving it open, but he wasn't entirely sure.

[Hywaywolf]

"Did we leave this door open? It must either be self setting or we have more vile beasts Down here."


Sbybolt will walk carefully past the door and will continue cautiously exploring down the east passage.

[Solomoriah]

Just a few steps around the corner, and Shybolt saw a door up ahead.
