Re: Chapter 3: Trying Again
At Grumm's words, Timorel says, "Very well," and steps out of Shybolt's way (he wasn't letting Shybolt around without a fight). After the halfling passes, he draws his sword to prepare for whatever comes next.
Re: Chapter 3: Trying Again
Brother Arven looks back at the door we pegged earlier, if it seems to still be holding, he will move to the opposite side of the statues as Grumm.
"My Lord and our protector has looked favorably on us so far today and I do not believe he will leave us now. Master Timorel, come on, have some faith, Do you think you will live forever?"
Arven, then thinks about the fact that Timorel is an elf and realizes that that was kind of a stupid comment.

Re: Chapter 3: Trying Again
As Shybolt attempted to step between them, the statues animated once again and struck at him.

Re: Chapter 3: Trying Again
Since Shybolt has his brothers-in-arms with him he will take the fight to the statues. He will strike back at the southern statue with his sword and use his dagger in his left hand in defense.

"Faith?" Timorel attacks the southern statue as well. "I prefer highly reliable miracles, finely-honed strategies ..."
Re: Chapter 3: Trying Again
"Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, let's finish these statues and get back on the quest." Arven swings his mace at his statue, counting on the shattering effect to render it dust!

Grumm will go after the northern statue, trying to use his glaive to knock it over.

Re: Chapter 3: Trying Again
Brother Arven and Shybolt both landed blows on their respective opponents almost simultaneously; Timorel and Grumm weren't so fortunate. But the damage done to the stone monsters seemed minimal at best.
The lizard-statue attacking Brother Arven stabbed him with its massive stone spear, inflicting a painful wound upon him; the attacker facing Shybolt did not succeed at stabbing him.
Brother Arven suffered 7 points of damage. Amazingly, you all have initiative again.
