Timorel carefully lays the torch on the ground to free a hand for spellcasting.

"If it's all the same to you gentlemen," he says, "it would seem to be the generous thing to do to un-stick this door for our good hosts."

oops, umm yeah, shybolt gently placed his torch on the ground as well.

If there are no objections, Grumm will try to stand a bit back and to the side nearest the hinges and push the door open with the butt of his glaive. If that won't work, he'll say a little prayer and try to kick the door open.

No objections from Dorne, who will stand ready with warhammer in hand.

Shybolt wonders what is taking Grumm so long to open a simple door. He begins to wonder about the courage of this fierce looking person.

Don't get snarky, Hyway. It took you guys what, two or three real-time days to decide how to proceed? Give me a little leeway here.

Grumm struck at the door with the butt of his glaive, but the only effect was to make Timorel suddenly duck to avoid the sharp end swinging at him; Grumm heard the elf's exclamation, but as he didn't understand Elvish, he couldn't tell if Timorel was cursing or praying.

Taking a more direct approach, Grumm kicked the door. It flew open, hinges wailing, revealing a room beyond. It was hard to see clearly in the uncertain light of the grounded torches, but Grumm thought the room must be about thirty feet across. There seemed to be something inscribed or painted on the floor in the center of the room, but he couldn't quite make it out.

Timorel reminded himself not to stand in front of opening doors, and from this point on will stand near a wall to one side when a door is opened.

He pauses a moment to see if there is any movement in the room, and if there is not, he retrieves his torch to try to get a better view of the room. (Still not entering it, of course.)

Grumm will stand guard outside the room, watching for any foes attracted by the noise of the door being kicked open.

Shybolt stays ready with his bow but as the light from timorel torch gives better lighting he will give a closer inspection of the room. Paying close attention to the cealing for anything nasty up there (something that might expect us to pay tomuch attention to the floor) then hell check to see if the light shows any doors alcoves or other openings. Hell then look at the floor to see what it shows

Dorne trusts the other party members to handle things up front, he will continue to focus his attention to the rear of the party, just in case anything comes creeping up from behind. Once Shybolt has check things out, and given the all clear, Dorne will enter the room, still looking for anything coming up from behind.
