Grumm considered pushing the door open, but discovered it opened out into the passageway.

Timorel looks to see which way it opens. There should be hinges, and maybe a handle of some kind.

If there is a place to attach a rope or a grappling hook, shybolt will recommend that he hook his rope to it and back up 40' to the turn in the passage. There he will hide, errr, position himself around the corner and pull the door open. Perhaps the big bad fighters can wait next to the door in the east west passage to attack anything that might come out? Shybolt will also closely inspect the his new position, especially the ceiling and walls and floor for any traps that might be triggered by opening the door.

Sounds good to Grumm.

"This is like watching stalagtites grow." mutters Dorne :D "Stand back, I'll open it.

He then gives his companions a few seconds to get to where they want to be, then with his shield hand he will reach out grab the door handle and jerk the door open (if he can), keeping his warhammer ready just in case.

Shybolt, who has looted, errr I mean, explored many dungeons in his days, grabs his rope and scrambles back from the door.

Grumm: "I knew there was something I liked about that dwarf!"

Timorel steps back, still along the wall, to make sure the door doesn't hit him.

The door swung open easily at Dorne's touch, revealing a small room dominated by a large metal tank connected to a system of pipes. Dorne recognized the device almost instantly, and dived to the side, suffering only a glancing splatter from the liquid fire issuing from the device.

The blast of flame lasted only a moment.

Dorne's good saving throw means he took just 4 points of damage.

"Watching stalagtites grow is better than burning your nads off," Shybolt offers while walking carefully back to the door. He'll look inside to see if there is anything good to see.
