(OOC: clarification, shybolt isn't turning his back on his opponent, he is just backing to Timorel (who may be dead, but shybolt doesn't know for sure) to try to prevent any more harm to come to him. )

Though still reeling from the horrid stench, Shybolt managed to wound another troglodyte; Grumm was not so lucky, missing his opponent. As Dorne braced himself for the third troglodyte's assault, he was surprised to see that monster raise his hands and say something sharply in an unfamiliar tongue.

The other two troglodytes stepped back into "guard" positions, and the speaker continued in Common, "Truce. We take our brothers and go. You also."

Dorne will nod in agreement, and move slowly towards Timorel keeping an eye on the three remaining trogs. If nothing happens, Dorne will check on Timorel to see if he still clings to life, if so he will cast a cure spell on him.

Shybolt stands his ground over Timorel, but doesn't attack. He looks toward Dorne and Grumm to see how they are reacting to the offer. Shybolt has his bloodlust up and is petty jacked up. He wants to finish this fight, but he came down here for the loot not to get killed. He looks at the troglodyte that spoke and says, "If you want to go, then take your brothers and go."

Grumm isn't going to stop them if they want to leave. Once they're gone, I'll help collect Timorel. I for one think we need to scurry up the stairs and then see whether the elf is dead or just severely injured. In either event, we might have to spend some time resting and recuperating before we delve again.

The troglodytes collected their comrades and backed slowly into the corridor from which they came. As soon as it was clear to do so, Dorne healed Timorel, restoring him to consciousness. When the troglodytes were well gone, the adventurers regrouped.

Timorel has exactly 0 HP, but is conscious and able to move at 1/2 speed but not fight. His prepared spells have been lost due to being reduced below 1 HP.

Grumm - The noise of that fight might draw scavengers. As much as I hate to do it, the prudent thing would be to go upstairs, block the hole and heal up. We're in no condition to delve further right now.

Shybolt, seeing that Timorel is safe in the hands of the cleric, loosens his battle stance and moves to look down the passage the trogs went into, as well as the passage next to it. He wants to be sure they are gone and if anything else is coming there way. If nothing alerts him then he will pace anxiously back and forth spilling out the remainder of his bloodlust. he wants to explore more, specifically check out one of these doors, but the sight of his bloody and staggering new companions finally clears his head. "yes, we should return to the tavern."

He'll check over the ground they had just fought over just in case something may have been dropped by either side during the melee, then will take the rear position to defend the walking wounded when/if they decide to retreat up the stairs.

Timorel comes to with a groan. With help, he rises, gathers his bow and arrow.

(OOC: I'm at a conference & can't reply again until tonight. Timorel will follow the party.)

Seeing that Grumm is in worse shape than himself, Dorne will cast his other healing spell on the half-orc. If Shybolt wants the rear on the way back up, Dorne will take the lead, and allow Grumm to help Timorel along.
