Re: Chapter 1: The Descent
"We could stay within about ten feet and two or three of us take on a zombie as it comes through the door. If we do it right, we should be able to face them one or two at a time."
Re: Chapter 1: The Descent
nah, I'll wait til you jump out of the way, but I think I can pour and light before they come through. They are as slow as dead men after all. But I agree we can surround the door and all 4 of us can hack at them on at a time. Its your call.Sir Bedivere wrote:"I'd rather keep my feet unslippery and unflaming, if it's all the same to you. Re: Chapter 1: The Descent
"Let's kill them properly, shall we, gentlemen? Ready?" Timorel prepares to jump back, making sure everyone's ready to jump. Assuming the rest of the gang are ready, he jumps back and makes room for a zombie to come in.
If there's a crush for space, he'd rather be on the second line, given his fragile constitution, but if we can all four reach in, then the front line it is.

Re: Chapter 1: The Descent
"Flaming oil at my feet makes me a bit nervous, I think either we use the oil, and back well away and get them after they come out of the flames, or forget the oil, and get them as they come through the doorway."
Re: Chapter 1: The Descent
Shybolt puts his oil away, wedges the torch in somewhere, pulls his sword with his right hand and his dagger with his left and readies himself to form a horseshoe shape with the others around the first zombie that comes in. "Gentlemen," he scoffs, "it'll be a short life for you, it will, with an attitude like that." As for his exact position, he will stand next to the door against the side of the wall away from the hinges. ie, He won't get closed in behind the opening door.
Re: Chapter 1: The Descent
Grumm concurs - if they move through the flaming oil and remain "alive", we might be facing flaming zombies. I say we use the doorway as a bottleneck. Naturally, Grumm will be in the front line.
Re: Chapter 1: The Descent
Whats wrong with flaming zombies? They aren't harder to hit, they just take more damage.
What do you mean by using the doorway as a bottleneck? I am assuming one walks in and we attack the single zombie from 4 sides. 4 attacks may kill it. I can't remember if diagonal movement is allowed, if not then grumm or whoever anchors that side should be against the wall to keep the zombie penned in.

Shy=shybolt, Tim=Timorel, etc and Z=zombie

Re: Chapter 1: The Descent
(OOC: The room's not set up that way. It's only 2 squares wide. There should be a wall along the line to the left of the door running vertically between where you have Grumm and Dorne. The other wall will run vertically to the right of Shybolt and Timorel.
"Right," Timorel says. "I think the guests are ready for tea. Shall we serve it up?"
Exactly. Since only one zombie can come through at a time, the doorway is a classic bottleneck.)Hywaywolf wrote:What do you mean by using the doorway as a bottleneck? I am assuming one walks in and we attack the single zombie from 4 sides.

Re: Chapter 1: The Descent
OOPs, I shopuld have went back and checked. I thought the room was 30 feet wide. Ok so who doesn't get in teh front line? I suggest timorel hang back since he can't take as much pain. I am just ready to kill these things.
Re: Chapter 1: The Descent
I agree, let Timorel hang back. Once the door is opened, Dorne will use his first round to turn undead. Then he will pound away with his warhammer after that.
