Chapter 1: The Descent
Re: Chapter 1: The Descent
Shybolt will race to the the two coming in from the corridor hoping to entice them into combat at the point in an attempt to block any others, if there are any, from entering the room. He'll fight with the torch in the left hand and the short sword in the right. (OOC: not sure if duel wielding with a torch in the off hand gives the same bonus to AC as using a dagger, but I'll try it anyway).
If he sees any other beasts coming he'll shout, "Block the passage before more of them get in here!"

(OOC: Were we surprised in the first round or just lost initiative?)

Re: Chapter 1: The Descent
Since initiating a parlay seems unlikely at this point, I'll do my best to eviscerate my reptilian foe. I'll also be yellow out that we must form a line and, if possible, get Timorel behind it.
[And if we don't do some fancy dice rolling ourselves, this just might be the end]
Edit - didn't see the post about Timorel collapsing into a bloody heap before. I'm just going to do my best to kill a lizardman and then break away and move toward the stairs so I can get the high ground and find a more defensible position.

Re: Chapter 1: The Descent
Dorne begins a dwarven war chant, while swinging at the lizardman on him. As the melee goes on, I will try to back towards the stairs if possible.

Re: Chapter 1: The Descent
Dorne hefted his hammer and swung hard at the humanoid facing him, striking him down with a fierce blow, even as a foul odor assailed the noses of the adventurers. Shybolt, though nearly overcome by the odor, still managed to stab his opponent, felling him.
Though now down by two combatants, the reptilians pressed the attack. Shybolt ably evaded the attacks of one reptilian, while Dorne shrugged off the claws of another. Grumm, reeling from the foul smell, was clawed and bitten, but remained upright; he attempted to strike back at his opponent, but he missed.
Shybolt choked out a sigh of relief when he realized there were no further reptilians in the corridor.
Grumm took 5 points of damage.
Shybolt and Grumm have initiative in the next round, while Dorne will come last.

Attacking and still moving back towards the stairs.
Re: Chapter 1: The Descent
Still chanting, Dorne will continue to melee the lizardman attacking him.
