Sorry for being so disjointed lately (no pun intended regarding the Minotaur hit ), but I lost my job on the 26th of March and have been doing the job hunting thing everyday, then there is still the issue of the forum continuously logging me off, then not getting the post messages in email. It is not Chris's systems fault, but I have no idea why it is doing it. Might be that I use Firefox rather than IE.

So anyhow, I may be late on postings, just keep me healing, and I will check in as I can. If I lose internet then I will post before that last day and let you know. Sorry for the hassle .

sorry about losing your job. Good luck with the job hunt. Just my opinion, but don't be to picky about what job you take now. as long as you have a job, job hunting is much easier than it is once you have a significant length of unemployment.

I don't know where to go from here concerning the puzzle. We can't translate the troglodite words from the door and we burned the trog to a crisp so if he had a clue on him we don't have access to it. The walls have no adornments so when I looked before so there are no clues there. Does anyone else have an idea? heck, it could be that this is a false door, but we haven't found any treasure yet so it could be behind here.

I'm at a loss myself. Fiddling around with the secret door seems the best bet. Or, we could see if we could find any more cave entrances, I suppose. Either way, it's all a wild gamble at this point.

I wonder if that last room was related to the alternate world area we ran away from earlier.

I keep thinking that too since the room keeps a different temperature than the hallway and the smoke didn't come in. we can check it when we go back, maybe see if there are any clues in that portal room

I am, for the record, still in favor of throwing the Halfling into the portal to see what will happen, but to each his own. I would hate for him to just reappear seconds later, but 10 levels higher after leveling up in an alternate timeline, and kick my butt, so I keep quiet.

Jobs? Well I spent 20 + years in the military (a few infantry and the rest in military intelligence as a counterintelligence special agent), I was a PI for 7 years, I have been a fireman for about 10 yrs and Fire Chief for 3. I may actually be ready to retire and do nothing . Nothing being I have 9 children (all still at home, oldest 18, youngest 2), we home school, and I just finished my online 2 yr degree in 5 months, and am starting my 4 yr in a week and will graduate next September. Gotta love life experience that counts towards credit hours. The way I see it I have finally got back to town and with all my experience points, I get to level up early, but there is no one level limit.

I am mainly going for Human Resource's jobs, or I could take Project Manager as well, but since I live in po-dunk Louisiana there is not much that I can do unless I move. I have lots of job offers to go back and do intel work, but I have some convictions against that so that is not an option. We got real lucky in that the two oldest boys both got a job the week I lost mine and they are both bringing in almost what I was myself so at least with that and the Lord we are doing fine at the moment. But their jobs are seasonal so we shall see if nothing comes around by fall.
