Movement restrictions in BFRPG are pretty severe, but yes Plate would be nice at some point, moreso if magical.

Yes, sorry armour. I've no problem with "accommodation", so, yes, Nivek could wear it. It's just that according to Paladin's reversed picking schedule for the second draft, Tannen now picks ahead of Nivek.

Paladin drunkenly blurts out, "Take the armor too! I'll spot you some cash." He then looks over at Nivek and turns bright red.

If Nivek wants the armour, Tannen will take some coin (to put towards plate armour). If Nivek is happy to buy armour, Tannen takes the enchanted chain armour. So, Tannen waits for Nivek's answer...

Ok, Nivek will wear the armour. Plate/Chain would be nice at some point, but Nivek will not be a front-liner forever as his spell repertoire expands. Magical Leather will be useful for now.

Is it possible to purchase platemail in Marketsone? If so, how much? Tannen has about 298gp... and might be able to trade-in his chainmail.

Doh , of course it is... my mind was on the topic of movement rates and armor types (and that Nivek wears leathers now)... I was confusing things. Magic Chainmail is nice indeed.
