The lesson to learn from this is that the next time we are planning to stop playing a character make sure he dies before the distribution of loot.
Re: Interludes Between Adventures
Paladin can take care of that. Adds it to his list of things to do.
Since Paladin is just shy of third level, finding a trainer is his big priority. (Phil the Stealthy? Big Hand Harry? Rob the Oddjobber? Having a senior moment here trying to come up with a good name for a trainer. )

Platemail is listed as 300gp.
How much credit would Tannen get for his chainmail (purchase price was 60gp) and (old, non-magical) longsword (purchase price 10gp)? He'll point out to the armour vendor that the chainmail is in very good condition - maybe Karl can repair the damage from the foray into the goblin and bandit lairs?
Hopefully Tannen can afford his new armour and have a little spending money left on the side.

The Ring
Doughbert slips on the ring and ... nothing. No invisibility. No sudden awareness of flaming red eyes atop towers in the distant south-east. Not even a feeling of improved robustness. It seems that that the ring has yet to give up its secrets.Hywaywolf wrote:Now that the armor is chosen, Doughbert will scoop up the last pile of gold and store it away safely. later he'll spend it to increase his abilities, but for now he examines the ring closely. Then slips it on
Paladin's Recruitment
Paladin - can you let me have the wording of the notices you're going to post advertising for a retainer?Iain_IF wrote:OOC: Paladin's looking for a human bigger than he is to be a torch-carrier and shieldman. Paladin won't burn through his money without meeting his and my needs. I post the above as a general guide for those looking to interact with Paladin.
Paladin's Training
I've PM-ed you regarding this.Iain_IF wrote:Paladin can take care of that. Adds it to his list of things to do.

Tannen's Armour
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Markerstone is not the armour trading capital of the known world. The best (indeed only) offer from a rather opportunistic merchant is your old sword, chainmail and 350 gp for a set of plate.Birthright wrote:Platemail is listed as 300gp.

Suave, debonair halfling seeks strong right arm for adventure!Gold, treasure, and excitement await! Make your fortune! Meet goblins, kill them! Receive upfront pay, commission, and hazard pay! Must be able to walk, carry a torch, and lift a halfling with one hand! For interview and tryout, see the halfling at the Wheatsheaf. No, the drunk one.
