Are we talking about Sleeping this round or the next?
If this round, he'll stop short and cast, targeting the back of the bend at the top of the north corridor - or a bit further if he can manage. For casting next round, he'd probably try to get inside to get some cover first - assuming 1) there's a safe spot, and 2) he knows he's getting shot at.
(also, I think that should be 2 '0' spells: lvl 1MU, +1 Int. Not that I'd complain about an extra casting...)

If there is anything to shoot at Doughbert intends to shoot this round.
Joe, in my opinion you should decide whether you want to use sleep this round or the next. Its combat and the PC's didn't have time to discuss the details of this clusterfu....n. As players we need to play our own PCs as we think they would do in that circumstance.

This round is better, but I wasn't sure if there's "time" left. It's a bit of a flustercluck on both sides of the 4th wall.
Sleep now if time, else get out of the line of fire.

OK, tactical map's up at
https://sites.google.com/site/marketstonecampaign/.
To complete this rather adhoc first round, the following combat options are available:
For the Goodies:
- Doughbert and Hiker may fire at Morward or Bandit 4 (please let me know which).
- Mandross may cast his Sleep spell, or fire at Morward or Bandit 4 (again, please let me know which).
- Glondil and Calebrindur will engage the bandits in the southerly room in melee.
For the Baddies:
- The bandits in the southerly room will engage the elves in melee.
- Morward and Bandit 4 will fire at Doughbert or Mandross (each determined randomly).
All of the above will be resolved simultaneously to best reflect the chaos of the situation. We'll revert to formal initiative order for the next round.
If Doughbert, Hiker and Mandross could confirm their specific actions, we'll take it from there. Good luck!
Doughbert: HP 3/5. No '0' level spells remaining today.
Hiker: HP 9/9.
Karl: HP -2/8 (stabilised).
Mandross: HP 5/5. 2 '0' level and 1 1st level spell remaining today.
Nivek: HP 6/7. 1 '0' level spell remaining today.
Paladin: HP 3/4.
Tannen: HP 5/9.
~6.10 pm, 28th day of Harvestide.

Mandross will cast his Sleep spell, centered on the wall behind Bandit #8 (I'm trying to put the front edge of the effect just short of the intersection. Don't want to risk dropping Hiker.)

Hiker fires at Morward until the bandit leader dies. Then Hiker will fire at the successive bandits as they become available

(OOC: I imagine next round we will be in melee and no more shooting arrows. As it pertains to target choice, I'd rather shoot at someone I have a chance at one shotting with an arrow and then moving to the next target, so we can get read of as many peeps as possible then concentrate on the big guy I don't think even a max damage hit will stop ponytail.)

OOC: take out mooks... the extra attacks can decimate us. We can focus on tougher opponents after we get numbers on our side.
Nivek will move into available spaces where he can melee an opponent, just as soon as an opportunity presents. In the mean time, he will be on 'total defense' until such a time as a target presents (albeit BFRPG does not have any bonus associated with being on defense EDIT: although the Combat Options Supplement has a +4AC bonus associated with being on defense this way... perhaps we can have this as an option in this game's house-rules?).

Paladin, having dragged Karl out of sight into one of the cells, picks a hiding spot with a clear line of sight through the intersection to Hiker and Alma. He'll hunker down and hide with his bow to hand.
