Doughbert won't be firing any arrows from that position so if Nivek wants to trade with me I won't object. If not I am fine where I am.

Paladin takes Alma and Karl further away from the doorway so they don't clog the passage, say around the corner and 10' away. Paladin also can't fire from that position, so he will also move back at least 2 squares from the frontline before hiding.

ooc: why are they being moved when we just said map placement is good? if you move alma, hiker will go with her. leave things the way they are...

OOC: If you were waiting on me, I am OK with placement. Bring it.

Morward Returns

After a few tense minutes, the sounds that were at first only discernible to the elf gradually become audible to all of you. It's clear that there is a group approaching your position along the east-west corridor to your north. However, it's also apparent that they're moving cautiously, apparently aware that something is amiss.

All goes quiet ... it seems that the approaching group has halted ... and then, suddenly, a familar pony-tailed head peers around the corner to your north.

((Based on your current positions, only Tannen, Hiker, and two of the elves are in a position to fire. Do you take this opportunity (assuming you're not surprised), or take some other course of action? The elves will hold and follow your lead. In other words, do you wish to initiate combat, or parley, or do something else? Morward, isn't firing at you (at least at the moment); he's evaluating what he's up against)).

OOC: do any of the elves have sleep spells? We wouldn't want to use it until we were committed to melee because as it stands the bad guys could just wake up any we put to sleep.

Since Doughbert can't do anything about whats happening in the hallway, he will watch the room behind him with bow/crossbow ready in case there is access between ponytail's rooms and the unsearched room where we heard noises earlier.
