OOC: Joe, does it look like horses have been through here? Maybe a silly question, but is the tunnel large enough? That door/gate might be like a horse yard or 'barn'? is there any smell of beasts around here?

It would certainly be possible to lead a horse through the tunnels, although there's probably not enough height to ride one comfortably. Now that you mention it, there is something of a 'horsey' smell in the air.

Paladin opens his mouth to shout he's coming back and that no one is behind them, but he instead quietly closes it. He quietly sneaks back to the party, contemplating things. Once there he returns to his rearguard position.

Tannen readies his sword and signals the others to ready their missile weapons. He'll then approach the semi-open door and pause to listen/peek inside the opening.

He has his sword at the ready in case the occupant of the room is right near the door.

Doughbert is on the right side of the north passage just south of the northwest passage positioned so that he can shoot the crossbow up either passage. He will concentrate his attention alternatively behind him and up the northwest passage.

Paladin takes the other side of the passage from Doughbert, south of the branching passage. He'll pay mist attention to the south, the way out.

Karl will take the left side of the north corridor, just North of the NW branch.

He is focused almost entirely North, to cover Tannen as he checks the door.

Nivek will stand near the junction waiting for events to unfold. Upon determining enemy combatants around, he will head directly for the action to engage melee.
