Not seeing any weapons, Tannen rushes the goblin. The goblin meanwhile is muttering something quickly under its breath and concentrating intently.Birthright wrote:If the goblin is NOT armed:
Tannen rushes at the goblin in an attempt to bring it to the ground and restrain it (his logic being that this robed goblin might know something about Alma's wherabouts). He yells in a hoarse whisper to his companions: "Quick, someone grab its arms and someone cover its mouth! Nivek, tell it we just want to talk!"
[Following the wrestling rules, Tannen must make a successful melee attack to grab hold of the goblin and restrain it. Tannen rolls a 10 + 1 (attack bonus) + 2 (strength) = 13: hit!]. Tannen succeeds in manoevering himself into a position by which he can secure the goblin in a headlock.
However, just as Tannen begins his grapple, the goblin it completes its spell. [Tannen must make a save versus Spells. He rolls a 16: a narrow fail]. All of sudden, Tannen is overwhelmed by an inexplicable sense of fear. In Tannen's eyes, the small goblin is transformed into the most terrifying creature ever to roam the land. Without hesitation, 'Sergeant' Tannen shrieks, does a quick about-face, and flees. The party can do little but look-on as their leader barges past them and runs back up the corridor towards the exit.
Nivek: HP 4/7. No ‘0’ level spells remaining today
