OOC: Would Nivek have any prior knowledge of Worgs (assuming this is correct) as evil companions of Goblins?
If so, he would suggest destroying the beast immediately.
If not, he would suggest subduing the creature so that it might be brought to the Druid/Hermit.
Is it really the end, not some crazy dream?

If the suggestion is made to take it to the woodsmen, then Doughbert will say, "'ell with that. Let the Druid come get it. But maybe we can toss it in some food."

Don't let Karl toss me in as food! whines Paladin, his eyes rolling up in his head.

"I suggest we leave the beast there. We'll tell the old man it's here and he can decide its fate. Shall we keep moving then?" Tannen says.

Stables / Kennels

Steeling himself in the face of the snarling menace, and fighting back the urge to vomit due to the truly foul stench emanating from within, Doughbert quickly scans the cave. It’s about 20’ square with no other visible exits. The goblins appear to have set it up as some sort of stables / kennels for their riding wolves. In total there are three chained collars attached to the walls, although two of these lie empty. The floor is littered with dung and gnawed bones, but other than that the cave appears to hold little of interest.

Meanwhile, the wolf appears to be working itself up into some sort of frenzy, variously tugging and gnawing at the chain that restrains it in a desperate bid to free itself.

There are many tales from folklore of goblins riding especially large and ferocious wolves, although you’re not aware of any serious reports of sightings in this part of the world in the last 200 years or so (apart from those of Hiker and Alan Grenewell of course) .

Doughbert: HP 3/5. No '0' level spells remaining today.
Hiker: HP 6/9.
Karl: HP 7/8.
Nivek: HP -1/7. Stabilised. No ‘0’ level spells remaining today.
Paladin: HP -1/4. Stabilised.
Tannen: HP 6/9.

"...not an evil man, little fool," Karl mutters. "Don't insult me."

Doughbert has a sudden vision of his throat being torn out and says, "We should kill it!" He readies his bow and urges the others to do the same. "We should a;; shoot at the same time."

You might anger the old man by slaying that beast, and we can use all the friends we can get out here in these parts. Let's leave it be. Tannen begins to lead the goblins towards the daylight at the end of the tunnel.

"If you want to leave that thing behind us, then don't take lead. Take rear guard and hope you made the right decision."

Doughbert then hurries to the front of the line. He'll walk carefully once in front and will keep his bow ready. He will be cautious when coming to the sentry room and if nothing is there to worry him he will check to make sure the trap is secure the creep towards the light. At the opening he will try to let his eyes grow use to the light so that he can see what awaits us. If its safe he will move out and to the left of the opening scanning the tree line carefully.
