You guys are basically outside of Oldwin's home which there are two heavy doors that are closed. There only are about 5 homes that had collapsed and had not been used for a long time, alongside that are of course skeletal remains of elves and a site of what happens to be a battle. Also the piece of the wing is similar to ones of a fairy you could think.

Sorry for being dense, but just to be clear:
- the missing Druid's house is in decent condition. With closed heavy double doors.
- the other houses are collapsed and have been for quite a while.
- the ruined tables and food are more recently ruined than the houses, or the same (roughly, of course)?
- the presence of skeletons implies either the battle happened long ago, or it was a recent battle with undead participants. Any hints as to which?
- the giant insect wing is very recent. Will check whether cut or torn when given a chance.

Also, for the overall setting, is this, "there can be good goblins or bad goblins, but bad ones are more common", or is it, "goblins be bad; kill on sight to save everyone"?

What do you guys want me to do? Charge in and start killing? Or do you want me to try to retreat without being spotted? My preference is to charge in. I'm pretty sure I can handle two goblins.

I'd rather take an arrow shot before you charge. Worst case, no loss other than an arrow. Best case you have one less goblin. I can always fire when you charge, though.

Also, there are probably more inside. No one posts guards if there is no one else to guard.

Do you have a bow? Maybe fall back and have both of us take pot-shots before the melee.

I have hand axes I can throw, but Grimlar is more about charging in - decisive, forward thinking attacks. He wants control over the door to handle what's inside. We'll say that you firing your arrow is the signal to charge. The rest of the party should see us bunching up.

Even if this is an ambush, we'll be in a better tactical position at the door. 1) We can block reinforcement from that side, 2) we get some partial cover, 3) we've eliminated part of their force.

We gotta be the guy with the barrel of ale.

You people and your ranged attacks! We must bring the battle to them! Let them tremble before my axe and shield!

I say charge in. I'll attack with my sling as well from distance.

Actually can I understand goblin? I have +2 Int which I believe grants 2 bonus languages. Would goblin be a realistic option or no?

Think carefully about that first. While Goblin might or might not help right here and right now, is it really what you want to spend one of your two bonus languages on?

Just sayin' ... :)
