"Wonderful Catherine, who knows what we will need, however, another person that knows her way around a gun is great. Who knows how many more German's there were besides the two that got away," Tommy will say. "I suggest we get moving as it looks like the natives have already gone ahead of us."

Will considers the ladder, then pulls the gun out of his belt and goes over to join Tommy and Catherine. "Count me in, but we might want to see if anyone else wants to join the posse. A few minutes is probably not going to ruin our chances, and a larger party is better than two small ones. Plus it's safer to know who all is wandering around in the woods." Will wishes to himself for the first time he was a sky god, or at least Gene Autry.

"Now the two were here by the ladder and wandered off. They never went back to the village is my guess. And Green heard voices from the river side of the ship. So my guess is we spread out and move straight down towards the river. Maybe we'll find them or at least some clue as to where they've gone."

Crazycrypt seems to have disappeared. His wife is with child, and close to delivery; it's possible they have become busy, suddenly. I'll NPC him for a while as his motivations seem pretty simple.

As Tommy stood considering Will's words, a warrior burst from the treeline and ran up to them. He began to talk rapidly, and Catherine had to make him stop and repeat himself several times; as she did so, Kordal and Pandu appeared, followed by a handful of other older warriors who had remained in the village.

"He says he's found something in the forest. Something about a fight," said Catherine, finally. "He wants us to follow him." Tommy grunted his assent, and with the warrior leading, Tommy, Will, and Catherine started into the woods.

In the shadow of the trees, it was very hard to make progress; Will found himself bumping into Catherine several times, and he was glad she could not see his face turning red. Shortly they entered a very small clear space, where moonlight streamed in, dimly spotlighting a small area where the undergrowth had been trampled down. The warrior began speaking again, quietly. "There were several men here," translated Catherine, sotto voce. "One fell and left a little blood. All of them left to the southeast, and none of them were being dragged. What do you think happened?" she finished, turning a worried face toward Tommy and Will.

Before either man could answer, they all heard the distinct sound of something moving in the undergrowth to the southeast, a bit left of the trail where the former occupants of the clearing had apparently gone.

There, perhaps that will get things moving again.

(If crazy crypt is busy, the only person that can take any action is Ahlmzahad. )

Will takes in the information, and the scene in front of him. "My guess is they had a run in with the Krauts, and either one of them is going with them as a captive or partner, the other is following". But before he can suggest a course of action they hear the noise off in the direction they need to move.

Once they hear the noise he will break off and motion for the group to investigate.

Tommy took point, leading Will, Catherine, and the warrior into the forest. Once out of the clearing, the dark was nearly complete; Tommy had to walk with his hand outstretched to avoid walking into a tree trunk.

...

Nearing the village, Simon recognized the trail he had followed (or perhaps blazed) to the riverbank. Along the bank further upstream, the bank became steep. Were he alone, Simon knew he could easily wade or swim past the obstacle. The trail would be easier, but the forest was very dark... it was all Simon could do to keep track of his prisoner in the moonlight. The German sailor stopped, turning toward Simon, hands still up but wearing a somewhat smug expression.

At this point, I'm waiting for a post from Simon before proceeding to the next part.

Simon indicates to the three tribes men to keep their spears on the German, waits to make sure they understand. If he needs to he will keep the gun pointed at the German as he gently grabs one of the spears shaft and pushes the point of the spear against the Germans gut. When he is sure the tribesmen understand his intent, Simon will move around behind the German, and then pocket the lugar.

Now, while watching for any sign of an attack from the german, Simon will then pull off the German's belt (assuming he's wearing one) and use it to tie the man's hands behind his back. If no belt, i will see what I have for a rope, if all else fails I will cut up the Germans shirt to make something to bind him with. Idf I find enough material to make a leash I will tie it to his tied hands and use it to keep track of him in the woods. (holding it in my left hand, gun in my right) I'll then unbutton his trousers so they are loose and put the back of the pants into the man's hands. Then, after rearming myself with the Luger, I will point the man into the forest to bypass the bluff and we'll start walking towards the village.

If the man lets go of his pants to try anything they will most likely hinder his actions. If he tries anything hopefully the spearmen will just injure him rather than kill him. Hopefully the village isn't far because Simon is ready to get inside the Morgana

Simon had no difficulty in restraining the German, as he seemed unwilling to risk being spitted on the tribesmen's spears. Thus prepared, Simon pointed and gave the sailor a push, and together they entered the dark forest.

Shortly, Simon heard the sounds of something large moving through the forest ahead. The tribesmen apparently heard it also, and one of them whistled an odd whistle, like the sound of some night bird.

...

Will heard a strange sound, a sort of whistle, something like a bird, but he was somehow certain it was a human sound. Before he could speak, the native warrior (who was walking in the rear) replied in kind. Then the native spoke, and Catherine translated: "He says that he heard another warrior signaling from ahead of us. Did you hear anything?"

Whoever wants to can write the meeting; the dice say that you have met without accidentally shooting each other (darn it :D ) as indicated above.

Simon hears the noise and immediately moves left and drops to his knee, gun pointed toward the noise. Still holding the "leash", Simon accidentally pulls the Germans pants out of the Germans grasp and down around his ankles. The German, bright white boxers gleaming, falls forward onto his hands and knees. Simon scrambles forward to prevent the German from escaping, and ends up leaning over his backside and back to push him to the ground ...

It is at this point that Will, Catherine, Tommy and the other tribesmen come into view ....

Will, grins as he sees the sight in front of him. Turning down the opportunity for cheap jokes he says "Simon glad to see your well. Is Art with you?
