Wondering what was going on, and bemoaning the loss of Artie's language skills, we should have brought Catherine he thought with a smile. Will stays close to Tommy and asks the nearest guard "Kordal?"
OOC: Not sure if I'm ahead of the timeline, but just wanted to post as I won't be able to again until later. Without anyone else around Will sticks close to Tommy and will follow the big guy if he wants to leave the village to go a-searching.

(btw, Simon is both embarrassed and pissed off that he lost Artie. That is why he is following this guy rather than returning to the morgana. he feels like he can't let the trail get to cold.)

Finding really nobody in the village and that nobody seeming to be alarmed, Tommy gets very suspicious. He will look at Will and say, "Something isn't quite right here. We need to head back to the ship at once." With that Tommy will head out of the village back towards the Morgana. As soon as they get out of the village, Tommy will pull out his pistol and take the safety off. When they arrive back at the ladder Tommy will hold the ladder and motion for Will to go up. He will also say, "I think we need to alert the Captain that Artie and Simon are not here. As much as I would love to, I do not think we should go into the woods without reporting in. Why don't you go up and have Green phone down to the Captain, I'll wait here for your return. Don't be long."

As Simon watched from within the cover of the trees, the man neared the riverbank. Simon could see something in his mouth... then he realized it was a handgun in a holster, being carried above the water.
...
Sullivan tried several times to strike up a conversation with Artie during the trip downstream, but finally gave up. The sun was just rising as the boat pulled out of the trees, startling Artie, who discovered he had fallen asleep. Ahead, on a low rise above the river, was a village rather similar to the Dalar village; but the most interesting thing was the deck and conning tower of a U-boat in the river beside it.
Obviously, Artie is now in Chapter 8, and rather ahead of everyone else. Holding for Will's response to Tommy, and Simon's further actions.

Since Simon can't tell why the man came over to this side he will just try to capture him. Simon is feeling reckless. He will look around to see if he can find anything solid to use as a club, if not then he will just use bare hands. He will wait till the man is just stumbling out of the water, hopefully facing the other way, then rush him, if I have a club I will use it on him, if not then I will go for the gun.

OOC: just double checking, we saw no one in the village, there was no one to answer my "Kordal?" question?
IC: Will heads back, not so willingly, at the suggestion of climbing up and down the ladder he says "you got to be kidding me" quite involuntarily as he looks up. But realizing Tommy is the more capable man on the ground he heads. "I've pushed my luck more than I care, make sure to catch me if I fall."

There were warriors patrolling the perimeter, at least two of whom would be near Will and Tommy.
I posted a turn update, including a full fight scene involving Simon, and it's not here. I have it all noted out in my office, so I'll repost it tomorrow.

The man climbed out of the river and stood up. As he began to fasten his holster to his belt, he glanced around...
... and looked directly at Simon. Simon was unsure how he had been spotted, but he leaped directly into action. The man, obviously a German sailor (as Simon could now see his uniform in the moonlight), began pulling his weapon from the holster. But Simon was faster, striking at the German's midsection with his right fist. The German turned, avoiding the blow, and took a shot at Simon, but he was off balance and missed.
Simon realized he had to end the fight soon, or it would be ended for him. He struck hard with his left fist, right in the jaw, and the sailor fell back into the river.

Artie wore a resigned demeanor. He gave Sullivan short answers, and it was clear that he did not enjoy being a prisoner, but had no real intention of doing anything about it. He seemed to have little hand in the unfolding of these last few days. It was supposed to be a decent gig, flying in the sky and playing music. Lily was good too, it was a pleasure to play with her. And she was nice looking. And it seemed somewhat unlikely that he would see her again, at this point. He sighed, and weariness overcame him.
Solo, do not take the above as a criticism of the unfolding of the game in any way. It's just RP. Just in case it's not obvious. Really enjoying this game.
