I think we may be in luck. Nazim Karaca has expressed an interest in playing, and may take over Artie from Mak. Should be hearing from him soon. Nazim is a contributor to BFRPG, incidentally, and I'm looking forward to having him on board.

Thanks for having me, Sol. I've admired your narrative in that sci-fi piece you posted a while ago on DF, and have thought how much fun it would be to play a play-by-post with you ever since. As Mak's posts show, some preparation and writing craftsmanship go a long way in this medium. Speaking of craftsmanship, I've got big shoes to fill: Mak was quite the articulate poster. I always felt that I had to make up for my poor contributions by offering logistical support in these games (tracking diaries, offering technical and rules support, etc.), to make up for my poor gaming contributions, but I'll try my best not to talk myself out of this game.
Meanwhile, I'll return to reading up on what's going on. I'm little over half way through the current posts, and it's pretty intense. That's to say, the action is very straightforward, but there are so very many details that I am afraid of missing something.
One question,
Sol. Is there a reason why you don't post maps and diagrams within your posts? I sometimes feel they would serve to illustrate your narrative better, especially where you refer to them directly.

Where I have maps and/or diagrams, I post them; some are large enough that I leave them in the staging area:
http://basicfantasy.org/tsgs
and provide pointers at the relevant times. I don't have a floorplan for the dirigible envelope spaces, so none is posted; on the other hand, the gondola deck plans are posted. I do combat maps when a fight is in progress, though perhaps I don't keep them updated quite as well as I should.

I'm holding right now until Rosisha logs in (whether he posts or not). I don't want to get too far ahead.

I'm here. My life went insane for a while. My wife ended up in the hospital. My car had a front spring thing break (and that is always bad) and I got a promotion at work. I'm not sure how I got the last thing.
I'm very sorry about all of this, it just caught me completely off guard. By the end of my day I'm so desperate just to calm down, I can barely think. I get twitchy.

Hey, no problem. Remember, this is not a rush thing here. Quality > Speed.

I'm holding action until I see posts from everyone. There is no rush... I just don't want anyone to think I've forgotten the game.
