Re: Out of Character Chat
By the way... I write rather a lot of one-sided dialog here sometimes. If you feel that your character would have interrupted an NPC, feel free to indicate that in your post.

Re: Out of Character Chat
Um... yeah...
... see you Monday
Regarding pacing: I've been letting things run slowly to allow some character development; IMO this is more important in a "story" game than in a more D&D like game. I expect, when I jump chapters, I'll fast-forward a bit. If I skip over a timeframe in which your character would have been doing something "interesting," go ahead and post your actions to the previous chapter, and I'll try to roll with it.

Yep, can't wait for Monday, I always look forward to it now, lol. I really hated it that I couldn't make it last time, I even tried borrowing a car from my parents and in-laws but couldn't find one.

Oh no, not trying to trip you up... just trying to steal all of Bogie's good lines! In-game, no one will see them as derivative because they haven't been uttered yet!Solomoriah wrote:OOC: Tried to trip me up, eh? Casablanca wasn't released until 1942.
As rredmond says, Happy Thanksgiving to all the Yanks! Here, it's just another cold weekend in western Canada.

Check out the 1936 Timeline at the University of Virginia (American Studies):
http://xroads.virginia.edu/~1930s2/Time ... 936fr.html
In addition to having the usual list of events, it has links to newsreel footage, contemporary feature films (Reefer Madness was released in 1936!), music recordings, and radio broadcasts! Very cool.
So Sol, what month is it, game-time? (You might have mentioned this already, but I missed it...)

Re: Out of Character Chat
I did post it, actually. May 25, 1936.
Cool site. I've been doing a lot of historical Googling myself since starting this game.
INCIDENTALLY: I realize that everyone has things going on over the next few days. Significant plot developments in Chapter I (leading to Chapter II, naturally) are on hold until I see posts from Lars and Mansel (well, from the players thereof anyway) in Chapter I.

Re: Out of Character Chat
"I've already inspected A deck," replied Green. "Wait until your watch, don't disturb the passengers. This silly inspection regimen is required only because this is the first flight. Trust me, son, this ship has already been inspected six ways to Sunday, there's not a thing going to go wrong with it."
I just imagine our GM chortling evilly as he writes this stuff..."Incredible? Not bloody likely. Oh, she's a marvel," he says, making an expansive gesture, "but I doubt anything interesting will happen at all. I don't suppose you've noticed, but Leftenant Chapman has just executed a twenty degree turn. Not a drop of champagne was spilled... look around, nobody even noticed. When we're properly out at sea, the view will be bloody boring. I hope the entertainment is good, because besides that and the food, there's not a thing interesting that'll happen on this trip." He takes a sip of his champagne, looking bored already.
