Dex modifier for the bow. Plus your BAB, of course.
The hobgoblin rolls a 6 for initiative and attempts to leap across to your island, dagger in hand. He narrowly fails in this attempt. He is not fully in the water, but ends up in the south side of M08. He is right in front of you, struggling up out of the water onto the island. He is not engaged with you yet.
It's your go. You can back away to Lo7 and fire the bow, if you wish. Or you can attack him barehanded and knock him back into the water? Or move away? Your call.
The troll has not moved yet this round.

Fine. In order to do that you will have had to place either the ingot, or the bow, down on the ground. Your call.
The hobgoblin, who was only just scrambling up onto the island, needs to make a dex check to stay on land. He rolls a 15, a fail. He falls back in the water, at M11, having taken 2hp.
At the end of the round, you notice that a crocodile is in the water, and it swims to N11. It is right next to the hobgoblin. There is a lot of cheering in the crowd.
The troll moves into the water, which comes up to its chest, and starts hauling itself up onto the ballast at H10.
The presence of bits of ballast strewn on the arena floor makes you realise the troll could probably use these as missiles.
Roll for initiative.

Just to clarify, the hobgoblin is M08 and the alligator is at N11 approaching correct?
In that case Barguk will attempt to fire an arrow at the hobgoblin and then make a running jump from L06 to K05.

My mistake - the crocodile is at N08 - next to the hobgoblin.
The hob rolls a 3. But the crocodile beats the hobgoblin and attacks him. It rolls a natural 20 and does 7 hit points. He just makes his save vs death, but it doesn't look good. He is dragged under the water by the crocodile. Neither the knife or the ingot he had are above water.
It's your go. You can still make your running jump, or you can do something else. This round, the troll is emerging out of the water onto the island at I10. You don't know if the fight is over or not, at this point.
(There were lots of cheers when you punched the hobgoblin in the face and the the crocodile grabbed him).
PS - I am ruling that when you punched the hobgoblin, you must have put down the ignot, as you still intended to use the bow. It is currently on the ground next to you.

Oh okay that makes sense.
Barguk picks up the ingot and makes a running jump for K05.
Barguk lands a 6, which I believe is a success.
In the case that it is a success Barguk uses his remaining movement to head towards C01.

You have no remaining movement. Picking the ingot is once action. Jumping the other.
In any case it makes no difference because as soon as you have stable footing on the other side, a whistle blows and the fight is over.
The troll, who was just about to hurl a lump of rock at you, screams in annoyance, and drops the rock.
An ogre guard motions for you to leave the stadium.
You get 750 Exp for winning the fight, and a reputation point as well. You are on 1000 Exp - half way to 2nd level. You still have no idea when you will be freed, if ever...

Your next fight is unknown at this stage. You get a few days off.
You can now spend your reputation point, if you desire. You can:
Get better food from the jailers (+1-2 hp for next fight).
Get a hint from the jailers about the next fight
Have someone cheat in your favor during the fight
Or you can save it, and use it to help your chances when an arena judge is deciding whether or not to let you live.
(Or, you can save us numerous reputation points and hope hat eventually your captors let you go.)
