@Longman:

A suggestion / proposal from me: I find it a bit gamey to know in advance whether my opponent has won initiative and delays his action. Could we use secret initiative instead? That is, you don't tell us whether the opponent is delaying or his count has not come up?

I can try to make things less gamey if you guys want. You can tell me your initiative but I will not tell you theirs. Just avoid looking at the dice log on unseen servant because you will see it there.

Is this otherwise fun so far? It's a total experiment, so I am open to input about how to make it more fun.

I'm enjoying it at lot, both playing and watching the other battles.
The challenges have been very diverse and the format is well suited for PBP as it adapts to the speed of the individual players.
So thank you for running this!

Cool. My concern so far is that the fights are so short, there's not much chance for strategy or tension to develop. But hopefully that will change at level 2.

Yeah once we have more HP and equipment we'll be able to stretch the fights out. I'd love to see some cool puzzle maps.

That is my intention. It may take some time to get new arenas together, though.
