To Barros: "Very good, then let me pay tomorrow, assuming that we stay here a bit."

To Phelan: "Who knows, the gilded palace and gladiatorial fighting pit may be just around the corner." Arkus winks.

After finishing his meal, Arkus will leave his backpack in the room and be ready to go look at the village.

"Of course, of course" William replies to Phelan.

Outside, the villagers are still busy setting up for the festival in the village square. A couple smile and nod in greeting to you as you exit the inn.

The main road winds through the center of the village square, and several smaller paths lead away from the sides of it.

From what you have seen, the village proper itself is somewhat small. Most of the population in the area comes from the farms that surround the village.

OOC: are there any public or other remarkable buildings visible from the square besides the inn or temple? If not, Arkus will walk down the main road in the opposite direction of from where the party arrived and keep his eyes open for anything interesting.

Cael nods and passes a coin to the innkeeper. "I'll 'bunk up' with someone tonight, as my studies have been done for the day. I'll just need time for them tomorrow morn. And a post meal walk always does the soul and body well."

Standing up from his meal, he looks around at his compatriots. "Where to then?"

The innkeeper accepts Cael's coin.

Outside in the square, Arkus sees what appears to be a general store, not far from the inn.

Barros thinks to himself that it wouldn't hurt to check some of the local prices in the area.

Barros addresses his companions, "Believe I will have a quick look around at the General Store, if anyone else cares to join me."

A sign hanging above the door of the store reads "Alek's General Supplies."

Inside, the store has a fairly simple layout. There is one main room lined with shelves, which contain various goods. Across from the entry door, the left part of the room is blocked off by a counter, behind which stands a surprisingly young man. On the wall behind him, there are a number of other goods hanging from hooks. There are two doors on the far side of the room, one behind the counter, the other in the far right corner of the room.

The man flashes a smile at you as you enter "Good afternoon folks. Whatcha lookin for?"

Not having a lot of money to spare, Phelan stays just outside the door of the store while the others go in.

Cael grins and enters the general store as well. Poking around, he noses through some of the wares before approaching the young man.

"Good sir, do you have any soap?"
