Rowan will stab again at the dogmen.

Faylen moves a bit away from the door to H1, her sword drawn.

OOC - Is it possible for Hengist to move diagonally into E6 and then attack? I'd like to open up the melee and surround the creatures. If it is possible to do that, I will. If not, I'll just attack.

Hengist attacks the creatures once more. Ranald keeps an eye out from behind, his crossbow still trained. He does not fire in this round either, unless an opening in the melee appears.

Bothan will run to the creatures and will attack one of them with is pike from the second rank. Seeing that Bothan is leaving the door area, Alphonse will watch the door, ready to react if anything happen.

Busy weekend. Oz on Saturday, Purgatory on Sunday. Don't ask. I'll try to get this updated tonight, but don't be surprised if it's tomorrow.

Initiative: Heroes 4, Monsters 2. Hengist cannot move to E6 as Rowan is in his way; this leave Tertullian with no opportunity to attack this round.

Hengist struck again with his poleaxe, but it was a glancing blow at best and the little monster lived to fight on; Rowan's strike missed its mark again. The little beastie was just too quick for him, it seemed. Bothan rushed to the fray and struck between his comrades with his pike, but also failed to hit his target.

Hengist 18 to hit, Rowan 1, Bothan 8.

The enemy reformed their lines, so that three of them could face off against the two adventurers. All three swung, and all three missed. The remaining two monsters yelled what were evidently threats in their own language, but their high-pitched voices were almost comical to hear.

Alphonse, watching the door, was startled to hear the sounds of someone pounding on it. It did not sound like fists, but rather like hammers hitting the door, or maybe axes.

If I have missed anything, speak up. Otherwise, begin declarations for the next round.

Noting how little room there is for three, Rowan will try to move to E6 carefully while stabbing at another kobold.

Faylen eyes the door suspiciously - does it already show signs of breaking down?
And how powerful are those hammer blows - does it sound like little dogmen?

(OOC - again, if Hengist can move to E6 after Rowan he will do so. If not he will attack from where he is.)

Hengist will attack the creatures once more, yelling at them in common that they must surrender or die.

Ranald calls from the rear: Boys! We gots company from the door up here. A pounding, yazzir! Bothan, get back!

With that, he will hide in shadows at G2, and draw his sword, preparing to ambush anyone who comes running around the corner. He places his crossbow by his feet.

Bothan will yell at Ranald : "I'm coming !", but before, he will try to hit a second time the same little monster. (A pride thing, nobody engage a fight with Bothan and escape unharmed. Bothan will get to the door behind in the next round).

Alphonse will stay ready to cast sleep if the opponents behind the door manage to knock it down.

Tertullian will attack alongside Hengist.

Neirin will hold position by Alphonse, ready to strike if Alphonse pulls the trigger on sleep.

Rowan lunged at the dogman in front of him, and as the little monster dodged away he stepped around the corner. Unfortunately, Rowan's attack was unsuccessful, but his move allowed Hengist to follow; he struck true with his poleaxe, slaying another of the monsters. Bothan and Tertullian stepped forward as the other men made their lateral move; Bothan struck with his pike, slaying another dogman, as Tertullian did the same with his mace.

One solitary dogman remained, and he decided that discretion was the better part of valor. He backed away slowly, holding his dagger at the ready in front of himself.

Faylen watched the door carefully, and saw that it was going to take a while for whoever or whatever was pounding on the door to breach it.
