Still two PCs short... Longman hasn't posted his sheets yet.

Or were you just talking about yourself?

I was talking about myself !

I haven't played a M-U or fighter in a long time, it should be fun. I generally play clerics and I'm playing a thief in monkey island right now.

That reminds me... I've added your level 1 spell list.

I'm actually hacking together a suite of tools for running this Iron Falcon play-by-post. It's all very preliminary right now, but here's a taste. (It's a command interpreter, as I'm a better typist than I am a mouse-user.)

Code: Select all

=========================================
        Iron Falcon Referee Tools
=========================================
Loading Character Sheets:
001 - Alphonse Nolin
002 - Bothan
003 - Neirin Nettleby
004 - Father Tertullian
005 - Rowan Elser
006 - Faylen Orymis
] c noli
--> Alphonse Nolin (1)
] missile
Alphonse Nolin made a missile attack, rolling 20+0 = 20, and hit AC -1.
] melee
Alphonse Nolin made a melee attack, rolling 11+0 = 11, and hit AC 8.
] c else
--> Rowan Elser (5)
] a
Rowan Elser made a melee attack, rolling 3+1 = 4, and missed.
] q
End Run.

A few questions:

I have got leather armor and shield for my fighter. That's only one worse AC than chain. I am relying on him being able to use a halberd and a shield simultaneously, or a set spear and a shield. I can't see any rules preventing this. If there are some, I will have to change my concept for him.

Also - I have numerous additional languages. Are you doing much with those? What sort of languages are my characters likely to have picked up in their travels?

Anything else you want me to look at, let me know.

A halberd is a two-handed weapon, so he won't be able to use the shield with it. It's entirely possible this isn't clear in the rules; I may have to put out an update. But you've already found another omission... thieves may not be Lawful, but that rule is missing from the book EXCEPT in the NPC section. Your Lawful thief will stand, since the rule IS missing.

Nevermore is a "regular" world with Common as the human language. I am using the rules as written for languages, but you don't have to fill all your slots up front... you can leave some for later, when you meet someone/something you'd really like to talk to.

No problem. I couldn't see anything on two handed weapons specifically so I wasn't sure. Happy to change the thief to neutral if you wish.

My guy doesn't want chain, so I'll just go with AC 7 when he is using the halberd, and use a spear when he wants to use the shield.

By the way what were the MU spells Faylen and Alphonse have?
