With his one good arm, Maju will simply attempt to stay afloat. If he can, he'll try to get back into the boat. He didn't like water much before, but now, with only one operable arm, he really doesn't like it. He curses the foul wind that brought them to this island to begin with.

Jaali will swim towards the land.

Here's what happens.

The halfling swims toward land. The orcs don't seem to like this much and one hurls a javelin at him. It misses hopelessly, but others are prepared to attack him. He's now clinging on to the edge of the rocky ledge, still in the water.

Maju gets back in the boat with some ease, with a good strength roll.

YC keeps rowing and Elias takes the other oar. They manage to steer the boat towards the rocky ledge so a landing is now possible. The majority of the orcs are still confused about whether to attack or not, and hold off this round.

Coroban is still in the water. He gets dashed agaist some rocks and takes 3 hit points.

If you decide to attack the orcs we'll be going to initiative. Otherwise it's your turn. The orcs are on guard against you and are yelling at you in a kind of orcish that no one knows.

When the boat is landed, YC will stand and show food and water to these strange creatures.

Jaali will get on land and will try to find a hiding place.

When the boat is close enough, Rostam scrutinizes the orcs for evil emanation or hostile intent.

No action from Maju so I will press ahead.

Jaali was being watched by the orcs as he swam in, and as I said, they were prepared to attack him. When he tried to clamber onshore, three of them attack him and he is hit twice, but only takes 4 hp damage. He is now on the ledge, in melee with 3 orcs. They pretty clearly want him to back off. More orcs are coming down to the water's edge.

YC's plan to show food to the creatures goes somewhat better - he is not attacked by the orc leader and 2 other orcs, but the body language is pretty clear - they don't want you trying to come ashore. YC has not yet gone ashore, for this reason.

Rostam scutinizes the orcs. They are not really emanating elemental evil or evil intent. They might attack you if you try to go any further. Rostam is also not on shore.

Maju is still in the boat. He notices the remains of a craft - probably a raft - that has been hauled up onto the rocks. The orcs are stranded.

Elias is still holding the boat steady.

Coroban still can't get back into the boat or get onshore, due to the surf. He is dashed against the rocks again and disappears under the water.

It's your go.

Jaali, get back here!

YC will show obvious sings of anger toward Jaali as a show for the orcs. He will then offer food and water again, motioning for the orcs to come aboard, assuming the attack on Jaali stops.

If they don't want us here, we should leave again.

Then, realizing that Coroban is about to drown, Rostam leaves his weapons in the boat and jumps into the water to save him (still wearing light armor).
He will attempt to get the sailor either back in the boat or to get him on the rocks.

Maju, still feeling fairly useless, will attempt to use his one good arm to steady and adjust the boat as best he can. At the same time, he calls out to the orcs in each language that he knows (Kona, The Desert Tongue, Common, Salayan) to see if there are any of them he might communicate with, even a little bit. He also takes a careful look at the orcs' captive.

OOC: I don't remember if we tried each of our languages, but I thought I'd give it a swing.
