Re: Chapter 4a: Battle in the Dunes
Hearing Maju mention the sea elf, Teruk makes his decision.
"Fall back!", he orders his men, "We must rejoin the others!"

Re: Chapter 4a: Battle in the Dunes
Maju says, "Teruk! Don't lose faith now. We have him! Help us finish him, and all your obligations will be settled! What's more, the sea elf will be yours to exact justice from however seems best to you."
He then says to the efreeti, "Keep them there until we can arrive!" He then urges Kyo onward.
OOC: I assume that attacks can be performed through the wall of fire. If possible, Maju would like to get close enough to cast Magic Missile against Jab Al-Afri (all projectiles on him). Hopefully, between the damage of the original attack, the wall of fire, and some Magic Missle action, he'll be taken down.

Re: Chapter 4a: Battle in the Dunes
Rostam clings to the dinosaur, silently urging it onward.
Re: Chapter 4a: Battle in the Dunes
Moving forward, Maju asks the efreeti, "How long will your wall of flame last? Maintain it as long as you can, until I command you to stop. Mind you, don't ignite them. We may need their belongings."
Re: Chapter 4a: Battle in the Dunes
Round 5 resolution -
Teruk and his men move back 80 yards towards the dune. The flying object in the sky is joined by another one. They are about a mile away towards the jungle, very high in the sky. Both rangers are keeping an eye on them.
The dinosaur galumphs forward 60 yards towards the wall of fire. That now puts you 250 yards away from it.
The efreet flies back towards you and moves the full distance during his turn. "I have done my best, master. I could not withstand another lightning blast. But I may have trapped him for you. The wall will last another few minutes."
You notice the magma beneath the efreet's skin is glowing far less brightly than normal.
The camel pirates have also acted in this round, but you can't see what they have done.
Round 6 - you are up

I'm a bit lost. Is Elias even here?
YES - you are on the back of the dinosaur with Maju and the paladin. You are racing towards a wall of fire in the distance. Maju is chatting to his efreet.

Re: Chapter 4a: Battle in the Dunes
Teruk will have his men creep cautiously behind Maju.
Re: Chapter 4a: Battle in the Dunes
Maju continues forward.
OOC: The wall of fire should continue to deal damage each round, correct? Also, where are Maju/Kyo and the riders relative to the flame? I'm wondering how many additional rounds it will take to get there. Thanks!

Re: Chapter 4a: Battle in the Dunes
The wall of fire should deal some damage, yes. Depending on how far they are from it.
You push forward another 60 yards and are now within 190 yards. You should be therein 3 rounds. Missile fire could begin earlier. Penalty for being on a charging dinosaur.
At the end of the round, something appears at the top of the wall of fire. It loks like a whirlwind. A humanoid figure (the Lerini pirate Ash) is being carried inside. It lifts him up over the wall and moves backwards, probably trying to get him over the wall.
Your go. I'll wait for everyone on the came to respond this time.
(PS - Teruk, you change your mind and turn around. You move back the 80 yards you just traveled in the round before, and are now 310 yards from the wall of fire.)

Rostam will hold fire until the dinosaur is closer.
