All right, Sonja the damn ranger shot Apinya in the back for 11 hit points while Kanya the damn pirate cleric just held the monk with a spell.

It's a new round. Jaali did not know you were going to shoot last round so we went straight to initiative. It's his turn first. If he decides to go into melee, that's a sneak attack on Apinya and you would be firing into melee. If he doesn't, you would be firing again at Apinya. I'd rule he was now aware of you and the +4 from behind would be nullified.

Jaali backstab Apynia. Or tries to anyway.

Jaali leaps out from behind two large frozen gorillias and stabs with his cutlass. He hits but only does the pirate 6 hits points. He's taken 17 so far.

However, Apinya is surprised and can't act this round except to turn around and face his new attacker. He also yells for the evil cleric's help.

Ranger - you may now shoot him if you wish.

Thwack thwack. She will fire twice, taking the -4 to avoid shooting Jaali.

You hit once and do another 9 hit points of damage. Apinya has taken 26 and is in bad shape before he has really gotten to do anything.

Whatever the unnamed character has done, he's done it.

I'm keeping the same initiative order, so it is a new round so you both get to wale on poor Apinya again if you want. You're pretty sure he is going to run up the stairs when you are done.

Jaali willl try to stab Apinya with his cutlass. If he dies, Jaali will move back behind the gorillas, trying to hide again on the next round.

I will shoot again.

Proper Round 2

Kanya the cleric does whatever thing she does.
Jaali attacks and misses.
Sonja the ranger shoots and misses narrowly.
Apinya runs away, triggering an op attack by Jaali. It's a hit for another 5 hit points. Apinya is now on 3 hit points out of 34. He runs 60 feet up the stairs.

Sonja, just as you fired your bow, someone (the skinny character) has thrown two shuriken at you, from a position in hidden in two of the monkeys in the row in the center of the room, at about 30' away. You are not surprised, and you do not lose your action in the next round.

One of the shuriken hits you. It does you three hit points. You hear an evil laugh from the thrower, whose position is now known.

New round, Jaali and Sonja, state your actions please.

I'd still be firing into the dark, right? Can I sense how far away the shuriken-thrower is?
