Sonja looks again at the waterskin, then sighs and puts it back around Saracen's neck. "You deserve a quick death, not a coward's death. Keep your water." She'll make quick work redistributing his other gear, only leaving him with the waterskin and clothes.

"This is where we part, at least for now. Take the pirates all with you, and godspeed. If we don't meet you at the rendezvous by tomorrow eve, then we have failed." She'll look at the monk digging in the sand and suggests hiding in the ruins instead. "I'm not sure what you know that I don't know. I think we'll be safer and harder to see in the ruins than in the sand. We go fairly deep inside, using the sealf's rope to keep us hidden, and use this vial to counter it in case we encounter trouble."

You go down. I fear they will try to seal us in like Jaali and I were sealed in before. If I am discovered, perhaps they will not search any longer and you two will be safe.

Jaali pipes up:

I could try to lock the front door, from the other side. Then we could all hide in the hall of the monkeys until I can get us out again...I mean, if you want to hide in the sand, do it, but I'm not taking that risk.

Rostam shoulders the rifle and gives a nod to those who will stay behind.
The great spirit be with you!
I hope to see you all well in a few days.

Once the party is on the move, he will take care to leave an exaggerated trail in the sand.

After YC is buried, he begins meditating.

Sonja is a bit surprised that the monk will try the burial route over hiding, but she won't say anything. She'll make sure he's comfortably hidden (and deep, since sand shifts) then hide in the ruins with Jaali. I don't know how far down we'll go (she's never been there before) but the plan with the rope is posted in the OOC thread.

If Jaali hides outdoor, he will have a better chance of getting unnoticed I think ? (Halfling special rule)

The rules specify the halfling hiding ability is for forest terrain and you have used it before in the jungle, so I am sticking with that. It doesn't work if there are no trees.

Also - I had arranged for you to pick the lock of the dungeon door from the inside, locking you and Kanya the ranger into the dungeon, so as to hide you when the pirates showed up. That happened while you were away and I was playing you.

Do you mind going with that plan? Everyone else in on board.

That works for Sonja, though I will still hope for YC joining us in the ruin.

Yeah, totally OK with me. I was just wondering if we could make the plan better, but not really. So let's go !
