I shoot him.

You hit him in the shoulder. He retreats back behind the cube and you don't know what he is doing. He might have run away or he might be re-loading.

You were aware that a tall skinny Persian pirate went below some time ago and his location is unknown. Sonja may have dealt with him, but maybe not. That's what Jaali knows.

No sign of anyone else around here.

Your move.

Jaali will sneak around the ruins, strying to be stealthy, trying to find what happened with YC, hoping that he haven't been killed.

You wander about for 6 melee rounds (1 minute) and in that time you can't work out immediately where YC might be, or what is going on.

Now what? A thorough search would take a full turn (10 mins) and in that time, anything might happen.

(Another GM post above)

Yuan Cheng, you have been thoroughly tied up and gagged, and dragged into a small cube on the edge of the complex, where two fairly tough looking pirates have had you under guard with firearms. They have both been yammering away in Siamese and seem anxious. You hear names (Kanya and Jab-Afri) mentioned but otherwise you don't know what they are saying.

A little while ago, one left with a rifle and didn't come back. You heard gunfire. The second one looked increasingly nervous and then he left you alone in the cube for a short time. You attempt to escape, and end up making the ropes even tighter.

You hear more gunfire and then he comes back in, injured. He sits down next to you and points a loaded pistol at your head. He clearly realises that you are no longer paralyzed.

You can't make much sound, or move at all. You can begin to meditate now, or try something else, although I can't think of a great deal that you could do.

YC closes his eyes and prays.

Thinking that YC probably got killef himself too, Jaali will try to flee the ruins to get back with the rest of the party, trying to leave without being seen.

Jaali, you move out into the desert, following the very obvious set of tracks left by the dinosaur party when they left over an hour and a half ago.

You follow these very easily. Let me know if you want to keep going into the desert, or if you change your plan once you get some distance away from the ruins.

You can't hear or see anything from the ruins, by the way.

I'll follow the tracks, looking and listening around often.

No problem.

You follow for about ten minutes. At some point the tracks get muddled up with those of a camel. You can't really tell what has happened but there are some camel tracks periodically with those of the party. You know that Kanya had a camel, and that there was only one camel on the ship.

Keep going?
