Sorry about the delay.

The monk misses. There is no answer from the entity. In fact, it doesn't seem to breathe, or make any noises moving.

Kanja reaches bottom of stairs and gets 20 feet inside room.

Teruk and warriors move forward up to 80 feet and observe.

Saracen fires with magic missile and hits. He does 8 hit points. It has taken 19. He can see it burst and fracture with the damage but it is still fighting.

The magic user cannot see the target. He can be right close to the action but not in melee, at the end of the round. That's where the warriors are too.

The entity attacks...the monk. It misses.

I need Jaali's action before we go any further.

Jaali will throw a dagger at the creature.

If it hits : Does it seems to pass through or it actually wound him ?

It doesn't hit. And, you can't see him anyway. The dust became invisible soon after it touched him.

New round:

You all get to act. Teruk and his men look unsure about what to do.

Jaali, seeing the elf starting to cast, will again throw some dust hoping to hit the creature.

Woe is away so I will play Kanya, who is still moving forward. Waiting on Maju before we proceed.

Maju quickly retrieves a bottle of ink from his pouch. Seeing that the dust seemed to work (at least momentarily) to see the location of this invisible opponent, he decides to try another material. He throws the ink at the…thing.

OOC: If I understand the situation correctly, then Maju is within throwing range. If not, he should move into range before throwing the ink.

Jaali's dust is a hit. The mage also lobs ink, which hits as well, and coats the creature. The thing is visible for the rest of the round.

Luckilly, the monk acted next, meaning no penalty to his attack. He hits, and does a whopping 14 hit points damage!

This is shortly followed by a magic missile from Saracen that does 11. 25 in total for the round. That's 44, overall.

Whatever it was, it seems to have gone, shattering and dissipating after the electric missiles struck. Droplets of dusty ink fall all over the floor.

Kanja arrives, panting. "What was that thing? Did it die in pain?"

(Please note the damage your characters took here.)

Teruk glowers: "This is exactly what I was talking about! We should not mess with this ancient magic! We have the healing we needed! Let's go!"

Now what? Explore more, or get outta here?

Maju conveys Teruk's words. He then adds, "Teruk is correct. We need to decide what our goals are here. This place, and especially its magic intrigues me. So I'm fine with exploring further, as opposed to just getting back to the ship and leaving this island. However, if we go on, we should release Teruk and his men from our service."
