"The ogres were searching for something. Do you want them searching for us as we return? I would much rather face them head-on."

"Two ogres against the lot of us, fully rested? I know ogres are dumb, but that's just downright suicidal. If we encounter them on the way, sure. No detours though. I just don't want to be the one in the way of the Captain's timetable."

"Two ogres and all of their friends. We weren't especially sneaky. And some of them can fly. You're a fool if you don't expect an ambush."

Expecting it won't save them.

Nice rp...

Just to clarify - the ogres have gone north, along the ridge of hills, and would now have a big lead.

The easiest way back to the beach is actually west along the road, and then north. So, following the ogres would definitely be out of your way.

Carry on.

"I definitely don't mind going back to the ship if we don't get back to Farl Athay. Just let me die here if its the case. Otherwise, I would make a great pirate, wouldn't I Kanya ? I may have to ask that captain of yours if he need some crew..."

Kanya gives Jaali a long, evaluating look; then smirks. "You might just do after all. Not crew though. You'd be better as a turncoat, like what we did with the Ark-Ari."

OOC: Westward ho?

The two pirates plus Jaali the would-be pirate are keen to set off and get back to the ship.

That kinda leaves the "good" characters - Maju and Yuan Cheng - in a bit of a pickle. If the majority of you go back and ally with the pirates, the most likely outcome is that the other characters will get taken prisoner by the pirate boss again, and then either killed, ransomed or sold into slavery, depending on what happens.

I'm waiting on Maju to have a say - he did ask to read the map, and hasn't responded since.

Also, the monk seems keen on ogre chasing - but perhaps that's only because he thinks it's on your way, which it isn't.

So I'll wait a bit longer before moving you westward.

OOC: There is that ranger somewhere in the woods too. She knew what would happen if the pirates stayed the moral majority of the group. Evil will always triumph because good is dumb. ;)

DM: That's amusing, because initially Saracen was the only pirate, and the balance was very much towards the good. That's why you all ran away when you first arrived on the beach. But now it seems to have gone the other way. Having said that, Teruk hates sea-elves, and is way more loyal to Maju than anyone else...

YC will accompany the others. He doesn't want to be stuck on this island either.
