Good point. You have not been able to remove the gems, because you have to wait for this particular potion to expire. It has so far been half an hour, and it still hasn't expired.

I have been keeping track of time in case you wanted to chase the ogres. If you don't, you can wait around for the potion to wear off, and it won't really matter. Someone else can easily have acquired the gems.

Let me know what you are doing, and if you do it in gaseous form or not.

I can have taken the gems. Saracen is attracted to shiny things almost as much as Jaali

OK, executive decision.

"We need to go through the garden to get out of here anyway so I'm going to go check out rooms 3 and 4 on our map. You two (indicating our captives), will be marching in front."

Yuan-Cheng will then prod the two captives forward and go to the stairs leading to room 3.

"Anyone else coming?"

Maju agrees with Yuan-Cheng, saying, "Let's get back to the village. Teruk's family requires some healing and rest. Since we are on our way out, I agree that we may as well investigate these additional rooms." Maju draws his pistols and follows him.

"Let me scout a bit for you, nothing can touch me right now and I feel there may be some danger lurking there"

Jaali moves down into area 9 and out into the sunken garden.

The scorpion on the north wall still has not moved.

He moves across the garden and down the stairs into area 3. The bronze door into the room is open. Inside he can see mouldering old furniture, (desks, tables, a bed) all shoved against the walls, and some newer sleeping places, probably for some skull warriors who have now fled.

He can also see a giant scorpion. It seems to be to reluctant to squeeze down the smaller passages leading into the (unnumbered) room beyond, to the east. But its behavior is predatory, as though there is someone trapped in there, and it is waiting. Jaali can't hear any sound from the room to the east, any more.

To the south, the (formerly) secret door lies open. Jaali can't see what traps the 'x' notations on the floor might mean.

Where does he go? What do the rest do?

Saracen will also send Altair to search for the escapees with the treasure. Saracen then follows Jaali.

"Let's light it up. I have oil. Who has a torch?"
