Yuan-Cheng will try a stunning strike on the crab attacking him.

The big monk turns to face to oncoming crab and lands a hit but not a stunning blow. (6hp). See my OOC post about Stunning Strike.

It attacks him and misses twice. The girl seeems reluctant to take his offer and stays where she is.

Maju will fire his other pistol if it will help. Otherwise, if he has the opportunity, Maju would like to reload his discharged pistol. (He's got to hit something eventually!)

You fired both pistols. Plus, there's nothing to fire at. You can reload one pistol this round...

It sounds like they're further inside! Kanya, could you take point? I lost quite a bit of blood when I was attacked, and I'm still rather wounded. I'll provide cover with my rifle.

Jaali will continue tying up the woman, hoping that YC will disable to crab attacking him.

Kanya looks askance at Fhajah. "I don't hear anything but a scorpion crawling around inside. Definitely not our crew. Besides, that falcon didn't come out from the temple. That falcon came from over that ridge. Does that rifle of yours have a Leupold tactical scope?"

Unless Saracen has an objection, Kanya head toward where they first sighted the falcon. How far away is that?

The falcon did reveal that the party had exited the rear. Maju will instruct Taku to again go see what is happening at the rear, and to report back as quickly as possible.

Yuan-Cheng will keep attacking crabs.

Rounds 10 and 11:

The falcon takes flight and heads high above the ridge again, scanning the scene behind the temple, and then begins to return. Everyone reloads all firearms, and some of Teruk's men begin the 100 foot climb up to the top of the ridge. It's going to take the average person about 3 rounds to get up there. Two men have had 2 rounds.

In round 11, the falcon comes back and reports: Giant crabbies! Lots of them! Poor monk and hairyfoot are up against the wall fighting. But they rescued some villagers, oh yes! Three of them!

Altair the Eagle snorts in derision at the bird's primitive use of language.

Meanwhile, in a two-round burst, the great monk does 8 hp on the crab that has followed him, but takes 8 hit points into the bargain.

Another crab finally rips the snake to pieces and then proceeds to eat it.

Jaali finally takes a blow from a crab - he couldn't duck those pincers forever, and he takes 8 hit points .

Lina finally sees sense when she realises that her uncle must be at the top of the rope and starts climbing, having to climb over her aunt to get up. She is a good climber and will be there next round. The old lady is on 6/10.

PS - yes, gunfire has been heard from both sides of the temple but has not been heard in a few rounds. It's pretty clear that combat started a while ago.

Round 12 - I will give the party out the front a free move action if you want to move inside the temple and then do more stuff. Otherwise, there really isn't anywhere to go, except up.
