Maju likes Jaali's plan. He says, "Also, if Kanya can manage to cast Hold Person on the Ogres at the same time, then the whole group could be dealt with easily…and quietly."
He turns to Teruk and says, "Are you able to tell us who among the villagers are with us versus against us? Also, if the Warriors' House has guards, will they be friendly to you?" To the others he says, "If Teruk can't tell friend from foe, I might be able to figure that out using ESP. But that would have to happen before the Sleep/Hold Person attack."

Yuan-Cheng accepts the wisdom of this plan.

Teruk responds: Oh yes. In fact, anyone should be able to tell the outsiders. They will have a painted skull on their person somewhere, most likely shield or forehead.
Cam I now draw your plan together?
Jaali and the monk sneak in to the village to be near the warrior's house, from the south-east (not on the road).
A handful of Teruk's least recognizable men pretend to have Maju, Kanya and Apinya held captive and lead you towards the temple area, quickly and hoping to get there before the ogres realise. They approach from the west through the gate and over the bridge.
Sleep and Hold Person are cast, asap.
Hopefully the commotion draws the warrior's house guards. If not. Teruk approaches (from the east) and speaks with them. They will be loyal to him (if they are not outsiders). The map is retrieved, either way.
Saracen and a few other of Teruk's men are waiting on the north road in hiding in case anyone gets away to warn the witch-doctor.
An eagle and a falcon in the sky high over the village is the signal for the attack to commence.
Let me know of any changes you want to make and then we can get stuck in.

Kanya shrugs. It looks good on paper, but no plan ever survives contact with the enemy.

That being said, I love it when a plan comes together.

OK Team. You're going in.
Everyone gets in their positions outside the town and no one is seen by the Sulan farmers during this process. The two familiars are sent high in their air, and as soon as both begin their downward descent, the approach inside the village begins.
The group containing 4 warriors, Maju, Apinya and Kanya make it inside the village with no problems. A small number of folks notice you at the gate, and stare in curiosity at the "prisoners". The warriors ask for calm and silence, and they do not get it. Apinya can understand one rather burly man saying: "Are you mad? Those ogres will see you and they will tell Ishakt you have returned! Get back out of here now before anyone comes looking!"
The warriors fail badly in their attempt to convince the man of their good intentions. The other people near the gate (3) seem undecided if your presence is good or bad.
Unfortunately the eastern approach by the two sneakers doesn't go smoothly either. A young Sulan women in her 20s spots Yuan Cheng as he is climbing over the pallisade, right near the warrior's ceremonial house. She was digging up weeds along the fence. She is now only about 20' away from you both. She hasn't screamed yet, she looks too stunned to speak. You are just over the pallisade, to the north of the eastern gate. Jaali was not seen.
The sounds of a large group of people gathered near the temple can be heard by both groups. You can see there are no guards at the back of the warriors house right now.
Your move.

So much for contact with the enemy!
How many is a small number of people? Is it manageable with sleep/hold person/murder?

Also, Teluk isn't at the gate?
DM response: 3 unconvinced people and 1 burly guy who wants you to leave before there is trouble. Take him out and you are probably OK.
