Maju says to Laylat AlHariq, "When the time comes, I will release you in the manner you request if I am able. For now, you must return to your bottle until I again require your service." Holding the uncapped bottle out, the efreeti shimmers as he assumes the form of a gaseous vapor, and returns to the bottle. Maju immediately secures the stopper in its place and re-wraps it with its lead seal which melts where the stopper meets the bottle from the heat of the fire demon having just passed its opening. Maju heaves a sigh of relief hunching forward for a moment, then quickly stands fully upright casting an indicting look at Sonja and Saracen, and a menacing look at the tribesmen.

Maju then begins cleaning up the camp, and collecting his belongings saying, "We need to move. If there are enemies on this island within twenty leagues, they certainly know our location now. Let us make haste, even at this hour, to find another suitable camp site."

Jaali - you watch the conflagration roar into the sky, and then when you turn around again you notice that the ranger is sneaking off into the jungle as fast her her rather long and shapely legs will carry her.

The monk and the sea-elf are still a bit distracted by the 12' tall naked ebony guy who is being dragged back into a tiny brass bottle by the mage.

Also - several nearby bushes and some vines seem to have developed the ability to move of their own accord and are now binding together to form a barricade between you, the sea-elf and the monk on one side, and the immediate path the ranger has taken on the other side.

In short - Sonja Reis the Ranger is booking it into the jungle and looks to be leaving the party.

Do you chase her through the mass of animated plants?
Run around the wall of plants (losing a round?)
Alert the others?
Just let her go?

Yuan-Cheng shakes his head at fleeing Sonja and questions his sword. "What were you saying when the fire man came out?"

Did Sonja was able to get all her stuff or she left her backpack at the camp ? Doesn't make much sense trying to assassinate someone with a heavy backpack.

If so, Jaali will open it and loot it.

Not sure about the pack because I didn't mention it to Longman one way or another, but the potion of plant control left with her. She got it out of the pack and drank it while the rest of you were looking at the big naked ebony guy with the enormous shaft (of fire).

Jaali mainly want the wineskin, as he doesn't have one. Extra food could prove useful, too. And money too, but I guess it's on your beltpouch

Yep. I'm curious what Longman decides. It'd be weird that she plots her escape, takes something out of her backpack, and then leaves it behind.
