Chapter 1: After the Storm

Sonja will stay down and unthreatening. Both her and Jerrico will defend the full round.

Jaali will take his cutlass and hit the one who attacked him with his pommel on the head (strike to stun)

OK, time to move along.

The little thief rearms with cutlass and strikes at one of his attackers, badly injuring the man's arm. Next to him, the sea-elf Saracen also attacks with his somewhat larger cutlass, casually slashing through another attacker's windpipe. The man falls to the ground, gurgling horribly.

Generally the sea-elf and the thief both seem like people who are used to killing without thinking about it much.

The monk Yuan Cheng keeps fighting unarmed. He lands two blows easily upon his attacker, but they are soft ones, and the man remains standing.

Maju, who recognises their Salayan speech, calls out for the attackers to stop, and pulls out a lightstone.

The resulting morale check is a close call. The fighters who were in the darkness move slowly backwards out of the fight. The man who was fighting Yuan Cheng surrenders. The one injured in the arm by Jaali surrenders. The other 3 all flee.

Yuan Cheng, Sonja and Dog - you can all get parting shots if you would like, on the fleeing ones. Seems a bit mean, though.

You now have 2 conscious captives, 1 unconscious captive, and 3 dead bodies. The tribesmen do not seem particularly scared of the light-stone, although it may have helped sway the morale in your favor.

It's 2 in the morning and you are all wide awake. What do you do? Give chase? Move on? Go back to sleep? Dance a jig?

Looking down at the body bleeding slowly into the ground, and wiping his sword clean on a rag, he drily quips "I did warn you"

"Let's tie up those savages, I have a few questions for them."

Jaali take his rope and then looks at Saracen, asking for his help.

Using his lightstone, Maju first has a look at the fallen bodies. He looks for anything useful or interesting that they might have been carrying or wearing.

Once that's complete, he walks over to the prisoners (I'm assuming they're tied up by now) and begins to ask questions in Salayan. He starts with, "Who are you, and where do you come from?"

Jaali will do tricks with his dagger near the prisoners, making sure they answer swiftly and honestly to Maju questions.

It's 2 in the morning and you are all wide awake. What do you do? Give chase? Move on? Go back to sleep? Dance a jig?
Sonja will mark their departure best they can. I assume she won't be able to see very well at night?

Yuan-Cheng follows the retreating natives to see where they are going.
