They probably won't thank us for it. I say take what we need and move on.

All arrows that HIT are retrievable. All arrows that MISS are lost. Sonja, you can get some horn. You have no idea from their teeth what they ate! But you saw them eating leaves.

You can all certainly not eat rations for today, and I'll also give you tomorrow without rations.

Yuan Cheng, you get back 7hp exactly from your healing.

I haven't got a clear view of what you have decided so I'm saying that you just keep going along the side of the mountain to the north west. Trust me -- you would have encounters if you stayed put, as well.

As you progress you have a decent view of the north side of the island down towards where the pirates are located.

The afternoon tuns to evening and you are all thinking about a well deserved rest,
and looking for a place to camp, when two of these creatures are seen in the distance, 140 yards away.

They are even bigger than the last ones, and better armored. There is no sign that they have seen you yet, and they also eating leaves...

Yuan-Cheng points them out to any who have not seen them yet and then motions to move silently around them.

By the way, do we see what the pirates are doing? Are they still camping on the beach?

I'm glad you asked!

The excellent long distance vision of both familiars detects....no pirate ship. You can't actually see the beach...the jungle is in the way. But the ship was a mile out to sea, and you can see the place where it was, on the inner reef. Either it has been smashed and sunk by the tides, or the pirates have somehow figured out a way to float it.

Now, back to the scene at hand. Is everyone else sneaking around these heavily armored plant eaters as well?

Maju gives Taku a soothing pet, as he whispers for her to remain silent. Then he carefully walks around the beasts as quietly as possible.

Jaali agrees to the group wanting to sneak around the creatures.

The plan seems to be to sneak past these creatures.

Your various stealth rolls are not that hot, and there is a lot of crunching in the undergrowth. But still, nothing has happened so far and you are still about 140 yards from the beasts, on a different side, and all seems to be going OK.

All of a sudden, the monk's huge sword says in a loud stage whisper:

"Lets Kill them! Kill them! More meat! MEAT!"

This is the first time that any of the rest of you knew that Yuan Cheng's sword could talk.

Yuan Cheng - you can talk to the sword to placate it? It has been quiet for a while, but you know that it has a habit of saying things at the worst possible time...

Everyone else...no sign yet that the dinosaurs have heard the sword talking.

Whoo hoo! Arrows and horns!

I agree too, let's sneak around the jungle. I'm not a fan of the desert yet, especially during the day. It seems like for now, we're skirting near the desert but not yet in it?
