Now I feel dumb. I should have had the efreeti put a wall of fire around them to hold them in place…stupid.

If his lightning bolt dealt 39 points of damage, then Jab Afri is minimum 7th level. If he got an average(ish) roll, he's more like 11th level.

I thought about that part. Clearly it'd get filtered out since the raise dead spell would be on Sonja not Kanya. After all, it's not like the two have ever gotten mixed up before.

Need some advice here : what's your opinion on metagaming ?

Jaali probably thinks that YC is dead and would like to flee ASAP. But I, as a player, know he's just held. I'm on the fence about what I should do.

When in doubt, role play it.

I do not mind what you all do in terms of meta-gaming or role-playing.

Keeping stuff secret is hard enough even in face to face. In PbP it would kill the game. Reading about the actions of others (that you couldn't know about) is inevitable. Reading the threads also helps everyone to understand the game story better. I actually encourage it.

On the spell issue - I rolled randomly for that and results are posted in the play-thread.

Raise Dead - I actually meant that Raise Dead would not provide you with elf ears, not that it wouldn't work at all. I hope that was clear. Putting all the body bits in a bag is something you could try...none of you know much about how the spell works. The priestess Maroo had some medical skill as well as magic, so she might be able to help, if she is still alive.

Unless Maju wants to give that pilfered speed potion to the beast.
But I think that won't last long enough to do any good.

Maju is unsure whether the potion of speed would work on a dinosaur. The only way to find out is to try.

My $0.02: go with whatever will make you (player) enjoy most, opposed to whatever makes most sense. You're here to have fun most of all, right?

So since I wasn't reading what was happening in the other thread, can someone summarize what Elias is worried about right now?

Elias hasn't really come into play much. He has a staff taken from the monkeys (1d8 weapon, possibly magical) and that's all except his holy symbol. His main objective is to get all his possessions back, without getting killed.

If you don't want to play him that's cool. I'll NPC him.
