Since I've not played this before, I need a little advice regarding languages. My PC can have two additional languages. Any suggestions as to what would be useful? Thanks!

According to p. 155 (if I'm doing this correctly):
Base success for creation of any magic item = 15% + 5%/level + INT.
Success for scroll modified by -10%/level of spell
So: Success% = 15% + 5x5% + 17% - 10% = 47%.
My roll = 58.
I don't mind losing the money. It was worth a shot anyway. And I'm not so sure money is going to do us much good on this island. In any case, I can try again later (if I have opportunity) for half cost or half time.

Elven always seems to fit for M-Us IMO, but other than that, I don't know. Maybe there is some sort of old common/ancient language that is available ?
By the way, maybe we should "convince" a 0 level dude to follow us with some black powder from the boat, just in case.

May I suggest something ? Can we use a color for all the stuff our character says ? Like that :
Martinus the Brave look at the dragon and says : "You don't scare me".
Maybe it would help seeing quickly who's talking. I would like green if possible.

I'm happy if you post in colour but I don't want to be strict about it.
Also, I don't mind a bit of OOC action in the main threads so long as the majority of postings are IC.
Plus, I'm not really that fussed about voice / tense either.
That stuff will probably sort itself out.
