I think that for that kind of setting, I would prefer to play a pistol wielding halfling thief. Let me know the stats and price for pistols.

Also, how much money do we have ?

By the way, I would suggest starting XP instead of level.

Is it you or us that rolls the stats and HP ?

Personally, I'm okay with black powder weapons. Does that include cannons? I assume we'll be on a ship at some point.

Regarding spells, can we use the New Spells supplement? (I'm particularly interested in the Find Familiar spell.) Also, can we use the 0 Level Spells supplement?

I rather agree with this (even though it would be worse for the Magic User), just to keep it fair between classes. However, it's up to the DM of course.

Speaking of supplements, are the thieves options used ? Can we assign points to the skills we want ?

All your questions answered!

EXP starting: Yes. Equal to that of a 5th level mage. That means you all get 20k exp. Thieves will be 6th level.

Thieves options supplement: I'm not using that. Start as a 1st level thief according to the table, and add 30 points for each remaining 5 levels as you see fit.

0-level spells: Not using that.

New Spells: Not using that. Let's just say if you are a mage or fighter mage, you can have a familiar, and not worry about including it in your spell tally. Just choose from the BFRPG basic spell list, according to the number of spells I gave you above.

(I am trying to keep this pretty simple because I already run two other games on here, and would also like to see what it is like to run completely by the book BRFPG).

Blackpowder weapons - we are having some of those. I will post something soon about how they work in this game, and the cost.

Money - start with 1200gp each. Yes, that's right. 1200gp each. Magic items are coming once I see your characters.

MONK class also included as an option seeing as we are in an Asiatic setting.

I'll also contact Solomoriah about the game forum soon.

I'm thinking about an Arabian ranger. Not much point with heavy armor and being on a ship. :lol:

What I got on the stats rolls (11 10 16 15 17 12 ), rearranged:
S 15
I 10
W 11
D 17
Co 16
Ch 12

and hit points:
( 5 + 8 + 4 + 3 ) = 20 (+ 8 + 2 * 5) = 38

Can I pick up studded leather armor from the equipment emplorium? If not, it will be something along the lines of leather armor, long bow, and a scimitar. Hmm... maybe a riding camel too. Look good? I have no idea what I'll use 1200gp for.
