Unfortunately (or fortunately for him) mTeasdale has welcome RL conflicts in his schedule and will not be able to play anymore. I'm recruiting for a player for a thief. If any of you want to take on a second character and think they can handle it then feel free to PM or post over at the recruitment post I made in the General Discussion thread. Thanks.

Can I use the mace in one hand and a cutlass in the other, for the two-handed fighting style? My character normally does that with two cutlasses.

Plus - do we know what Draka look like? She's only just mentioned them and now she's gone. I'm assuming some kind of dragon / lizard creature. Speaking of which, do we know what any of the creatures down there look like?

shame about MTeasdale. I think Joscelin was a good character and should stay part of this if you can encourage someone else to pick him up.

I don't disagree.

It would be nice, also, to keep the same group of characters together.

To be fair though I'd like to also extend a new player the ability to create a thief character from scratch if they prefer.

I sometimes like to play someone else's created character just to expand my player skills. On my own I would probably never play a druid and especially would not have created a half-orc druid :) I am not sure I am playing Edward as Smoot would have played him but I am giving him a style I don't usually play - a follower.

Looks like we've got no takers for playing a thief. Not to worry though. I've got it figured out.

To save us time this is what Joscelin would have brought with him from the Tinder and Tallow which you should add to your character sheets:

A pouch and a flask each plus two spares (for the two character slots we have open):

The Pouch: When a character reaches into the pouch he or she will find a food bar about a half inch thick, two inches wide, and four inches long. The pouch will make three of these bars of food a day. They taste good but only come in one flavor. The pouches are about the same size as a normal belt pouch.

The Flask: The flasks are pint sized with a screw top. They produce up to one gallon of pure cool water a day.

If you like fluff feel free to describe how your pouch and flask look as long as they don't exceed the size in the descriptions.

Also there were two rings given to Joscelin for his use which I'm modifying to help out the party (should a thief character join the party they will go to that character and revert to their original stats):

Original Stats: Two rings made of a strange dark green metal that doesn't seem to be an alloy. One ring is inscribed with silver sigils and the other with golden ones. The first ring will detect secret doors at the same percent as your detect traps skill +10%. The other ring adds +10% to your detect traps roll.

Current Stats: Rings of the Thief. Gives wearer the skills of a thief at a level equal to their own level in their class (IE: You are all now level 1 so if one of you dons the rings you will have level 1 thief skills. If you go up to level two as fighter, paladin, or sorcerer then the rings would impart 2nd level thief skills). This imparts ONLY the thief skills. It does not change any combat, saving throw, or other stat of the wearer. Both must be worn to function.

Make sure you read completely the post before this one.

I closed chapter two and will open chapter three shortly.

So we have sorc, paladin, fighter and druid so who deserves the rings? I don't really mind who though so should we say whoever is first to dibs them.
