I must not play the same games as you guys do. Its quite easy to have heavy roleplaying in a dungeon crawl. I am playing in a game that has a very huge mega dungeon that many people think of as an ultimate dungeon crawl - Undermountain. We role play the shit out of that mutha.

I love dungeon crawls and don't remember saying that I don't role play in them...
My point was, I normally role play in No Myth or Sandbox games. It has been a long time since I was in a game with a big GM backstory and a quest and so forth.

William did have sausages. In the best Inn in town. I hope he enjoyed them immensely. Odds makers are laying 40:1 odds against William having another sausage for...a long time.

So the rate is 90 yards/turn. So 2.2 turns means it will take us 22 minutes
22 minutes to go 200 yards?!? That's... that's not even a half mile an hour. A decrepit old hag in a walker can walk faster than that!

Busy City streets, crowded walkways packed with shop wares spreading out from businesses. Workmen loading wagons. Drunks staggering around. Busy intersections, meandering streets due to no city planning. Its more likely that it would take 22 minutes to go 200 yards in a crowded city than it would take 10 minutes to walk 90' in a dungeon

That sounds an awful lot like London, and even there it's faster than an hour to get a half-mile.

I goofed and had to do a slight revision to the post where Intheil leaves. Please read it as I added an important last bit from her. Thanks.
