@Mint: it's OK, GM the way you want to. BTW that post was great (and really showed your love of Pratchett's work)!

Ironically the post everyone seems to have liked the most is the one where I'm flexing my GM...muscles?...prerogative?...ego?...attitude?...something at any rate. But hey. I'm glad you all liked it.

Re: OOC Thread
I'd already indicated in my post that I'd inform the watch about the ruffians, so I will go straight up to them.
Re: OOC Thread
Yeah I know but since the circumstances were a bit different I figured I'd give you the option.Longman wrote:I'd already indicated in my post that I'd inform the watch about the ruffians, so I will go straight up to them.

Re: OOC Thread
I just want to stay here 1 night.
Re: OOC Thread
This post isn't directed at anyone or anything anyone has done, I'm just posting it because it just occurred to me that I might not have been clear at the beginning about purchasing items once the game began. After we started the game no more purchasing is allowed unless it is done in the IC thread and then only as a roleplayed post (ie: no posting something like: I go to the shop and buy...). For one thing prices in the books are completely different from prices in any of my shops. For another shops may or may not have what is in the book and they may even have something better.
It also occurred to me to be nice and to throw you two, not one, but two bones of free information and a one time pass to recoup coin if you need to (ie: I am going to let you go through your list and make changes to what you bought if you want to but only for 24 hours from the time I post this) based on what I'm posting below.
Bone One. Where you are going there aint no room for pack animals. 'Nuff said. Also (and this is sort of a bonus bone) be careful about your choice of armor. I'm not saying not to buy whatever you want to and can afford but don't forget that the better the armor the more cumbersome it becomes (some armor really is no good anywhere except on the field of battle for instance - if you aren't sure what I'm talking about wiki it).
Bone Two. The shop where you have credit is a magic shop. Now don't get all exited and stuff. First of all the shop has no weapons or armor. Second the things it does have tend to be of the nature of tools or curatives and not anything that will aid you in combat except in an indirect sort of way.
Ah darn it. Ok I'll throw you a third bone.
Bone Three. Remember how I said at the very very beginning this would be a city campaign? That hasn't changed. Caerton (or under it) is pretty much where everything will take place. Plan on that accordingly. You may even want to think about setting up a base of operations...
