I can't find the "how much money do I have to spend?" post. Can someone point me to it? Thanks!

Woe. Look at the first post of the Characters thread and also the Coins post in the World thread.

FYI: The characters will be starting the game onboard a ship a day or so out of Caerton. Lyndon-Upon-Tems is the capital of Angland and is mentioned for reference.

Mint, I have most of my character's gear chosen. I might have a few tweaks tomorrow, but other than that, the only thing left is fleshing out the background.
Look good so far?
Although... she might turn into a paladin by morning. Argh, decisions!

@Mint: my character is up.
I considered Ring-mail as a non metal armor for encumbrance, also I chose my starting spell since you said to do so to black1blade.

Yep. Looking good so far. Make sure you convert the gp to sp.

Yes that's fine.

Mint, is there a central Bank of Aengland that I can deposit the extra gold pieces? I don't like walking around with my life's savings in my boot.

Or another way to look at it: which would I rather have, a CON of 13 or the ability to detect good at all times + emanate a holy aura but also at the cost of 15% additional xp? I dunno.
Besides, it's been a while since I've played a normal fighter. Heh. I could even play her as thinking she's a paladin, running around detecting good on others, and not knowing she's really not touched by holiness.

I like the way you think.
Personally I love playing fighters. They're versatile and simple giving a player lots of room to roleplay.
Final verdict. A paladin who doesn't know she's a paladin! She thinks she's a pious guard with strange dreams.

Um...yeah. Sure. Mint's Mint!
To be sure there is a government bank. There are no loans. The bank's purpose is to allow people to store their money - for a fee. No checks. No debit crystals. No carte blanch. No letters of credit. Just hulking stone constructs in the vault which is a slab of granite suspended on silver coated steel chains 20' down from the ceiling and 50' above a pool of acid. The slab is surrounded by protection spells triggered by proximity from anything not on very secret very specific and limited list. The last known attempt ended with the perp being turned into a raspberry lollipop and teleported into a shipment of lollipops being sold on the other side of the world.
Or something like that.
